Only thing I have to say is have you read Percy Jackson too? I love those books... And especially Heroes of Olympus...
Hmm nope. I haven't read that one. :P BUT, i have read Egyptian, Norse, Greek mythology stories and tales. It all started with Age of Mythology.. Man that really set me on a myth hunger.. xD which pretty much explains where i get my base names from. hahaha
I think you have a great foundation here and a lot of points have already been brought up. Can you post your latest revision so I can see what you've changed recently?
As others have said the large core makes me nervous, especially with my DE being opened up fairly easy if they break the walls and send in the giants and let the gobs flow (granted the GB's will take a lot of them out). Granted my current base and most bases can have a similar issue.
I also wish you had the ability to hide where the giant bombs are at with several different possibilities making the attacker guess.

Basically created funnels and points for placement of spring traps. :D
Hey Avernicus! You may not know me but ive been a fan of your bases for the past few months for th8 and th 9:D I was wondering what clan you're in at the moment so I could visit you and see how the base is coming along :)
So I've been using a modified version of River Styx for the past few weeks. A few things I noticed about the revised design:
- Placing the cannons and archer towers outside the wall really messes giants and balloons up. If the attacker uses wallbreakers, defense targeting troops go in the first layer, the wander back outside towards any remaining outside defense structures if the attacker didn't have the foresight to take them down.
- The base is very dependent on the two xbows in the center. If one of them is being upgraded, enough swarms can still punch through to the core. With twin xbows operational it's a completely different story, and I can almost hear the failed attackers going "xbows way to OP!".
- I'm in Gold 1 so maybe I don't get that many aerial attacks, but I find xbows pointed down works better than xbows pointed up (as long as you have decent AD). I'm sure once I hit crystal it'll probably be a different story.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the base, but it didn't really shine until both my xbows were operational. After that, it rocked!
