Is there any actual reason to put your TH inside?

That makes no sence at all to keep it out. If you know you have even the slightest chance of winning give it a try and put it in. Almost all maxed th10s and some early th10s, we able to win in low-mid master on a constant basis on d. It really all depends in where you are in cups and how storing your defenses are.

It doesn't work like that in reality, if you are pushing as TH9 or 8 you will get 3 stared regardless of if you have an exposed th or not. You may get lucky and have a high cup farmer take your th for the bonus and leave but 95% of attackers will carry on and 3 star you.

Even as a TH10 80%+ of people don't stop after taking the th in champs

Id even add that if you have your town hall outside attackers see it kind of like a safety net. They already have a guaranteed one star. Why not go for more?

You can't say every time, you'll be lucky sometimes and avoid the 3 star. I still remember Jess winning that gowiwi at 3400 with maxed heroes in fe2 lolol

Personally after a long day of farming and not caring the slightest about trophies they drop , alot , so putting th inside bumps you up alot , allowing you to farm your way down to preferred league
