The Hydra: New Dark Troop!
The Hydra: New Dark Troop!
The Hydra
When a Hydra loses a head two grow back so as the Hydra has more and more damage done to it, it deals out more damage. The Hydra is much like the P.E.K.K.A and dragon in size and has about 4 heads. The Hydra is a ground troop that is relatively slow and is used in groups of about 2 or 3. It is meant to destroy as much as possible before death.
Training Cost: 1,200 Dark Elixir
Training Time: 45 minutes
Housing Space: 30
Damage Per Second: 160 at full hitpoints
Hit Points: 2000
Hitpoint Loss to Damage gain ratio: 50 hitpoints lost-15 damage per second gained
Movement Speed: 16
Weakness: heroes x2 damage (thank you SuperViking)

Good idea but it would become OP
This troop would become way overpowered so to make it fair it would have to have a weakness, such as it would be archer towers fav target . This is like hogs and giant bombs
a little OP but great idea
as mentioned I think it should have a weakness, I also think that maybe you could do something like a golem, where it has one head, but when it dies 2 heads pop out and have like 1/4 of the dps and hit points
Love the weakness and how it connects to a real hydra
but limiting it to Inferno tower still makes it a bit op. I'd say add another weakness, perhaps magic/lightning since those would be closest to fire/heat, but not restricting to TH 10 only?
Hydra Weakness should be...
It should be the heros, as the hydra was killed by a hero you should make it that the barb king and archer queen do triple damage and they are drawn to it at a wider range...
also perhaps the other ideas of either inferno towers, archer towers or wizard towers (pick 1) should do double or 1.5x damage

THIS IS GREAT! A few suggestions for balancing though.
I agree to those saying that this is OP. So it must have a weakness. Also, I have added the mechanics for the head growing damage health relationship.
Weakness against:
- Arrows
-Archer Towers, Archers, Archer Queen and X-Bows - Splash Damage
-Each head should be a "separate unit" so when a mortar hits the hydra, each head will receive damage(thus, doing 4x damage if the hydra has already 4 heads).
-Also, inferno towers on multi mode may target more than one head.
My thoughts on the initial stats:
Training Time:35 minutes > probably longer?
Housing Space: 30 > around 40 would be better so it wont be too OP
Movement Speed: 16 > i think ~12 would be better
My suggestion about the mechanics for the head growing and damage-health relationship:
- Every time the hydra loses 400HP, it would grow a head.
- Each head will have the same amount of damage as the first head; thus, doubling, tripling or quadrupling the damage of the hydra on a step by step basis.
- Each head will be a damage receiving unit against splash damage attacks; thus doubling, tripling or quadrupling the splash damage received by the hydra on a step by step basis.

The HYDRA! beauty.. but a beast
[QUOTE=TheHobbityHobbits44;2587498]The Hydra: New Dark Troop!
The Hydra
sorry the image is quite small but likethis? hope it looks alright and instead of having many different stages just has 3 heads (starts off with one) so the Hydra would become enraged at the last stage, when the third head grows out because the 1 and second were destroyed, its really hard to explain huh :') but yeah that sexy beast below me, i might animate it put it into clash with ifile or something, but i'd get myself in trouble over that ..
P.S the tail looks terrible dont hate me :')
This needs a better post leader
I really think this is a GREAT idea. But it seems that the poster is no longer supporting this thread. Please. Someone adopt it if its possible.
