when you purchase your Statue of P.e.k.k.a. This will make your more respectful. Yeah literally. When someone find your base and wants to attack you, the statue will make him be like: ooooh, he has the statue, he has passed level 75, may be he is now level 80, of course he has good defenses, I think I will lose this raid.
the result: he will next your base.
of course, that's not gonna work with everyone. But believe me that's true and may work.
so, get the statue as soon as you can, and put it in a place in which any attacker can see it clearly.

today's secret is to put your clan castle in the center and always request Witches then Wizards then Archers then Minions.

To make the base protected more and more

yeah, wizards can destroy a whole army.
The B.K. And the A.Q. Were very dump in da past.
Now they are smarter.
In the past they used to get out of their circle or range.
now they don't
so, you can get benefit by centering them in your base to protect it more.

If you are going to stop clashing for two days at most, it's okay. But if you are stoping for week and you are sure that you will be back then buy a shield.
If you are quitting and don't know when you are back you can do:
1- give your base to one of your friend to play on it until you are back.
2- get your storages out of protection, make something good for people.
3- just leave clash
in all cases make sure that your village is connected to both google+ and game-center to don't let your friend connect them to his accounts. Or just to keep them safe.
you have safeguard your village anyway.
