Can your own lightning spell damage your own troops when attacking?
I notice when teammates drop a lightning spell on enemy cc troops it kills the very effectively but sometimes their own troops come under fire. Does this spell cause damage on the attackers own troops?

No. Your own lightning spell, or freeze spell, will not harm your own troops. Likewise, your heal and rage spells will not help the enemy's CC troops.
The reason you see your troops come under fire is because of just that, they are under fire from the enemy's troops and defenses.
