So is there a point where you guys think you can upgrade to TH9 without being maxed out and still be ok?
If you are in this range of TH8 development, can you move to TH9 and have no problems?
-level 4/5 teslas, AD, WT, Cannons and AT(9/10)
-level 5 barb/arch/wb/giant/wiz/loon/spells
-all pink/purple walls
-level 1 golem/hogs, level 3 minions
I feel like that is around at least 75% of finishing TH8.
I upgraded to th9 when I had max defenses but only lvl 7 walls
I'm sorry, level 4/5 WTs, cannons, and ATs?! You've got your priorities mixed up if that's true. Anyway, where's the BK? Not having a BK means that you're not ready for TH9.
Get all your defences to max, even the teslas.
Walls aren't your top priority but your best bet is to have full lv7 walls and on your way to doing lv8 walls.
Best way to this is to dump your gold on the walls while upgrading stuff, don't rush to TH9.
Along with defense and walls get hogs to level 4, golems to level 2, and Pekas to at least level 2. Everyone focuses on defense but if you don't get all your troops close to max you'll be sorry. I did 75% skulls, maxed all defense and maxed hogs, golems, and got my Peka to level 2 and went in at TH 9 with 6 mil gold, 6 mil elixir and 80k DE. It was definetly worth it.

Level 9 cannons/archer towers
Level 5-6 mortars
Level 4-5 wiz towers
Level 4 air def
Level 3 teslas
Barb King level 5+
50% skull walls, 50% purple
