I'm uprading from TH7 -> TH8, and it'll be done in about 4 hours.
I'm wondering which troop and new defenses upgrade I should prioritize..
Wiz tower, Air def, Arc Tower?
And,
Lvl 5 Barbs, Gobs, Dragons, Giants ? (Bar Lvl 5 Arcs, that's first.)
Any suggestions? Help appreciated, Thanks.
standard answer really - splash damage first on defence (mortars and wiz towers) and always barbs/archers first in the lab... so long as this suits your raiding style.
I rarely use giants nowadays, but idk if I might coming back to it in TH8..
In TH7 I usually farm with BARCH, or Goblin-Arc-WB.. I rarely go for storage, but I still do when it's not deep inside the base.
Another thing, I'm in a active war clan. And use Mass-Dragons in CW.

Mentioned such advice before in another similar thread, so I'll just copy and paste it over here. Just about the same advice I'll give to any new TH8 players.
"First of all, get a new Town Hall 8 base design that you think is good, maybe from looking around the forums or browsing through your clan mates bases. Get the new 50 extra walls and start upgrading them to maybe lvl 4,5,6, up to you. Good that you maxed out your Town hall 7 base before upgrading to TH8.
If you have 4 builders:
1st builder - upgrade your Lab
2nd builder - get the dark elixir drill
3rd builder - upgrade clan castle
4th builder - slowly get the new buildings one by one.
My advice at this point is to MAX your dark elixir drill to the maximum lvl at TH8, which is lvl 3 drill ASAP. After building it at lvl 1, just constantly upgrade it without wasting any time so as to maximise the output of dark elixir for yourself. The faster you upgrade it, the more dark elixir you can get out of it in one day.
Also upgrade your lab first so you get access to new troop upgrades. There is no definitive upgrade order, so it's up to what you generally want for your army. I finished my lvl 3 dragons, heal spell and max my rage spell first, since they're the most expensive upgrades and I use them for clan war every week.
Clan castle is quite self-explanatory, highest DPS defense to be upgraded first. Important to prioritise this, finish this upgrade and you won't have to worry about it anymore.
In terms of defenses, do your splash damage defenses first. Mortars have one lvl to upgrade, while you'll get your 3rd wizard tower and wizard towers have 2 lvls to max. Important to max your wizard towers to full pink so that it one-shot archers and goblins easily, but you'll have to farm alot for the upgrade cost - 2.68mil each for lvl 5 to 6, so finish that ASAP as well.
Slowly upgrade everything else (:
Once you've completed your splash defenses, it would be good to allocate one builder each to upgrading your Teslas and Air defenses, both of which you'll get your 3rd one in TH8. AD has one lvl to max, while Teslas have 3 lvls to lvl 6 at TH8. Teslas may look expensive and take a long duration to upgrade, but they're worth it. Don't put them close to the edge of the base - instead try to integrate them into the 2nd/3rd layer in your base."

In TH7 I only search dead base with stocked mines and collectors and I was in Gold 3 about 3/4 of the time. In gold 2 atm anyway.
Other thing, What if I race the new AD to Lvl 5? Instead of the CC. Because I req a lot and another 5 extra mean I have to either step up my donate (minimum of 1.5k / season) or surpress it.
You'll notice a difference between level 4 and 5 archers for sure.
Lvl 5 Archers have some pretty decent damage.. From 16 (4) to 20, I think..
For raid comps, I use BARCH just like everyone else. Initially I used 80 Barbs, 120 archers, but then recently I changed to 100, it's up to the individual. I farm in Silver 1-2, still getting good loot (100+k - 300k is what i consider as decent loot, YMMV).Quote:

Depends. Collectors raid if the opportunity presents itself. Storage raids if they're placed at the outer rim/behind only 1 layer of walls and the loot is worth the effort. I'll often use the Barbarian king if I'm doing storage raids. Then again, depends on yourself.Quote:
