People who are in war, should be locked in clan, until war is completely over!

It never fails, we always have 1 member every war leave in the middle of war. WHY CANT THEY BE LOCKED INTO CLAN UNTIL WAR IS OVER?....THE ARGUEMENT MAY BE THEY MAY STILL NOT PARTICIPATE IN IT.. WELL THEN THEY SHOULD BE PENALIZED FOR IT..AFTER ALL THEY STUCK AROUND LONG ENOUGH TO ENTER INTO WAR, BUT THEY LEAVE IN MIDDLE OF WAR IS NOT FAIR TO THE REST OF THE CLAN. PENALIZE THEM MAKE THEM HAVE A longer cool down before participating in another war...something needs to be done..the majority of the clan love to war, 1 person should not ruin their chances of winning the war. Perhaps a handicap should be implemented if a player leaves. Something has to balance to make it fair for both...maybe give an option if one leaves the guy at bottom of clan roster fills in the spot...I'm not exactly sure, but something needs to be done. Anyone have any ideas or concerns don't be afraid to comment! Ty

Or Supercell can implement a feature that let's the highest non participating member to take the quitter's place?

No!

We have members that hop back and forth between our war clan and farm clan during war, and this would prevent them from doing so.

Here's a solution: be more careful about who you go to war with.

Because then people in 24/7 war clans would be stuck in their clans.

The problem is within your own clan and how you organize it.

You suggested that players should be penalized players for not participating. Would that penalty apply to every player across the game who doesn't use both his attacks or just the ones that the game somehow guesses are thinking of leaving your clan?

Your complaint is that your wars are always ruined by one person, but what makes you think if you hold that one person hostage in your clan, they're suddenly going to win the war for you? I'd think there's an even greater chance they're going to mess it up far worse by staying against their will than they ever could by leaving. They could not attack. They could purposely fail. They could purposely hit a target and not gain any stars. They could steal someone else's target. They could take pictures of your villages and give them to the opposing clan. They could spend every minute of their time in your clan pointing out any mistakes your members make, criticizing their attacks, and filling their clan castles with garbage. They could call your leadership into question and insult any new players. They could go on global and invite the worst of the worst. And if they happen to be an elder or higher, they can just give random people the boot.

If players quit on you with no notice and with no respect every single war without fail, it sounds like your clan must have a lot of problems. Rather than try to invent new ways for people to remain in your clan longer than they want, why don't you focus on figuring out why so many people want to leave your clan?

There are quite a few reasons why people should not be locked into a clan until after a war. Family Clan? Cursing, abusing basic conduct, lots.

I see where you are coming from OP, but the solution would need to consider far more factors than just warring issues.

Absolutely not, if they leave they leave accept that. If they raid badly they raid badly so be it. Recent example, I did my two war raids and wanted to skip the mext war as I knew I would be busy on other stuff so I jumped out. I returned less then 24 hours later the next mornkng after the guys had found a new opponent. Now I am able to participate the next war normally and no harm done to anyone.

Another reason why SC will never include a punishment is that it open the door for requiting new people, then start a war and start to bully them. If there were a penalty on leaving you could pretty much have your fun with those people until they figure the penalty is better then the abuse.

You can take the first step by not accepting a new members that are in cool down. Tell him you kick him because he changed clan during a war.

I've accepted 3 new members with cooldown between 8-16 hours. I expect them to leave during a war.

Until we tell them it's not accepted, they will continue to do it.

Not allowing the player to leave during a war is not the solution to your problem...the player could simply not attack. ;)

Thus, leaving you with the same result.

We developed our own opt-out system, which works great for us. Anyone who does not want to participate in the next war (e.g., vacation, heroes upgrading) can tell a co-leader. No! When clan wars first started I joined a random clan recruiting in global just to see what it was like. I told them as soon as war ended, I was going back to my tiny clan. I said this again right after war ended and without any notice, the coleader started a new war. I didn't want to be in that clan so, I quit and had a cool down. If there wasn't any way to leave a clan during a war, you're stuck when someone hits start war search immediately after the war.

And what about members who do things that require a kicking? I try to wait to kick someone until after war but it is the internet and you're bound to find obnoxious an rude people in your clan. (best fun is to wait until they start an attack, deploy their troops then kick them during the battle) Or what if your clan suddenly turns sour and you don't want to be exposed to it?

If I were held hostage, I'd put all my walls on a corner and spread out all my defense to guarantee a 3 star from their lowest player.

Then I would wait until the last hour of the war and get 1 stars on the top 2 highest players have already have a star.

That way, if they win, I get maxed loot. If they lose, I laugh at them.

Easily manipulated. Top 15 (TH10) leaves the clan. Clan war matches based on 15 man clan of TH7s. War stars. TH10s come back, TH7's leave. Now they dominate.

Hahaha. I completely forgot about the damage that could be done during prep day. There are just so many ways a dissatisfied member can harm a clan. Why anyone would want to force them to stay is beyond me.

NO I WAS NOT SAYING THEY RUIN THE WAR, AND I DID SAY THEY MAY STILL NOT USE ATTACKS...THE POINT IS WHY SHOULD THE WHOLE CLAN SUFFER BC 1, or 2, or 3..I said it never fails AT LEAST 1 member leaves in the middle of war...at least 1...didn't mean its ALWAYS JUST 1...the point is if they don't say hey I will be leaving in the middle of your war..not using both attacks..I wished it worked that way, but not all people have consideration for others...and they don't give them the courtesy of letting them know in advance...all I was saying was...there should be a penalty to those who do this...a stronger one...for those of you who are saying bump...you are more than likely one of those people out there doing this to clans. Its a shame...as far as the whole farming instead of warring...anyone can farm in the middle of war, as long as they make a real army for a war attack...when wars are won the loot is great...just add that loot to the loot you been farming, and upgrades happen faster. My clan has 47 war wins, our record is 47-10...@ least half of our losses were from multiple people who left in the middle of war...and it seems to me to be getting worse! That's why I propose a stricter penalty for those who leave...or in my opinion once they leave the clan maybe the cooldown should apply to them finding another clan as well...something must be done.

People should have the freedom to leave/rejoin a clan as the wish. I understand your frustration that people leave the clan for good during war and you lost the potential of 6 stars. But what about those who does come back? They system then will be more complicated, because if the system shall remember you, than the system should also remember the troops donated/received, thus, creating more problem.

Personally, I think your problem will eventually works itself out, those who likes your clan will stay, those who dont will leave, eventually you will have a full clan of people that will stay in the clan.
