The Feature In Which You Can Search Player's And Why

When i first joined the game, i loved it, but have always wondered why you werent able to search players. Say you were in a clan, and left, and your buddy left to join a clan. How would you get in touch with him? You cant. Say your friend wanted to get in touch, and he was to give you his username. How would you get together without a clan? You cant. These are only a few reasons, but i feel it would make the game better and easier to discover and invite new players. I am not talking about private messaging. Just the feature to simply Search players. If there is any way possible for this to become a new feature, please do so. Thanks

I think this is a great idea! i hope SC sees this

Private messaging to all users is a feature that is really needed. Because it is really annoying if someone leaves your clan and there is no way to message him/her. Or you get kicked for being on a vacation and you can't rejoin your clan because you're banned. A great idea, really needed, should be implemented.

Private messaging would be incredibly easily abused. Also is ruled out (I think).
Besides, CoC isn't a messaging app; it's a game. Supercell doesn't need to give you ways to easily chat with your friends. Go download some messaging app. There are a lot.

Here are some amazing ideas that have been ruled out by the dev time for the time being. Posting these ideas will result in your thread being removed without notice!



Frequently Requested:
*Donating (or trading) resources or gems to (with) other players
*An exchange building to convert between elixir, gold, dark elixir, or gems
*Assign multiple builders to one build/upgrade
*Upgradeable builders’ huts – lvl 2 huts for a 5% time decrease?
*Player search function
*Ability to change village name
*Active/ Live “Online Status” examples: colored icons, on/off indicator, etc.
*Indicate last online date
*Remove the “Report” button/feature from global chat. Abused too often, and mute is better solution

Searching for player's names has been ruled out in the suggested ideas thread, and here's why. Simple "privacy issues" and the fact that multiple people can have the same username.

You don't get the idea. Sometimes you need to PM a stranger or a clanmate and you have NO other way to do that than in-game. Abuse could be prevented if it would be possible to add people to your friend list and only allow messaging friends.

Private message idea is fine, but searching for players is a bad idea due to privacy reasons.
