I have th9 rushed but im trying to catch up to it and become good, i dont know where i should start, i have lvl 5 wiz, archers and giants soon other troops are lvl 4 and DB troops are lvl 1 and i have lvl 6 walls, lvl 4 mortars lvl3/4 wiz towers lvl 7/8 archer towers also lvl 8/9 cannons and lvl 3/4 air defense also 2 lvl 1 xbows and 4 level 1 hidden teslas
I'd start with upgrading your farming troops to their max levels and your wiz towers/mortars.
Air Defense if you're a CW person. Level 3 ADs is just asking for a drag attack by a 7/8. Second priority is Mortars and WTs, the X-Bows can wait since you're underleveled.
You left out the most important one Arny camps? Also how often can you raid? Do you tend to do session where you will play for a couple hours at once or sparatically?
Alright good news is you didn't go to th10. So you can still farm fast at TH 9 in fact its one of the best ths to farm at. First priorities should not be defense. Kinda forget about defense since you will have trouble defending your loot anyways and you have a lot of cheap upgrades anyways so you can spend the money before loging off. Your first priorities will all be elixir upgrades so get used to not using gianfs wizards ect. Nothing but barbs, archers And possible minons if your not saving for queen ATM. Barch and bam armies build fast like 15-20 min so you will be bale to raid 3-4 times per hr. Top priorities should be level up barbs, archers, army camps and de drills.
During this time while you farm the 150 mil elixir that will take (maybe more since your premie) you can use your gold on walls and maybe have one builder on defense stuff. Your most important defense priorities are #1 try to stay on and farm till you have enough for something than log off haha its the ultimate defense.
Splash damage is much much more important than point defense so focus on mortars till Lev 6, than wizard towers, air defense and xbows. That's listed in the order of importance and protecting your loot.
Farming ranges best for you will be 1500-1900. I'd probably stay in the 1500-700 range for you. Skip a lot till you find a good base. Don't attack someone for 100k. Occasionally if you have extra trophies to spare just use a few gobs or archers to snag full collectors and quit battle with a loss but almost have all your army so you can attack again immediately thus boosting your gold per hr

As far as troops go, upgrade your farming troops first - barbarians and archers. If you are doing clan wars, pick an attack strategy you like and upgrade those troops once you get barbs and archers to 5. The rest can wait for now or be done as you have resources.
Any elixir not being saved for troops should be used on maxing out your army camps, spell factory and DE drills. You will be able to upgrade your DE troops much faster with 2 maxed drills.
Defenses should be upgraded in the following order:
- Wizard towers or mortars, WTs are better because they do more damage and hit air as well, but upgrade a mortar if you don't have the resources when a builder comes free.
- Air defenses to lvl 6 at least - otherwise you are just asking for a dragon or balloonion attack to wipe you out. WTs will help with this
- Teslas - they do the most bang for each upgrade buck and hit air and ground.
From there, I would do archer towers and cannons to lvl 9-10 and then hit X-bows. X-bows past lvl 2 are too expensive to worry about when you have other cheaper defenses to work on.
Whatever you do, don't put a dime into walls until you have the defenses behind them upgraded. It makes no sense to upgrade walls past lvl 6 if you have a ♥♥♥♥ for towers as the troops will just wail on it and laugh as your defenses fire pool noodles at them.
Also like another poster suggested, learn how to barchh well, raid in sessions and upgrade before you log off if possible. Put your town hall on the outside of your base for free shields. If your TH is on the outside and your storages are empty, there isn't much an attacker can do but give you a free shield.

He has weeks worth of elixir upgrades to do before he starts hitting his defenses hard so he should have some money for walls unless he's real slow st gold farming. Also his upgrades are cheap ATM so if he's farming a lot he will need to buy some walls.Quote:
