1. Introduction
Hello everyone. Recently I made a town hall 8 farming base called 'Euphoria'. It got some good comments,which I was happy about but It didn't feel as if the base was going to be used by anyone so I decided to make another base. I have named it 'Spearhead' because It looks like one, simple. I'm also very close to maxing town hall 8 so I will be leaving these designs to others who've maybe just hit town hall 8 and hopefully they will serve you well.

2. Spearhead
Attachment 58424Thanks to Yango for pointing out that the storages were to close. Changed base as a result of his observation.

3. Features of 'Spearhead'

Triangulated air defence, wizard towers and mortars.

Protected Dark elixir storage.

Wizard towers protecting all three gold and elixir storages.

Funnelling with traps.

Good separation of storages.

Not so sure If I could really say the clan castle is centralized. I think it would be hard to lure the clan castle troops.

YOU MAY WANT TO SWAP THE THREE MORTARS WITH THE THREE AIR DEFENCES IF YOU FEEL THE AIR DEFENCES WOULD BE EASY TO PICK OFF.

Looks pretty solid

The one thing every base needs is a double big bomb section in front of a defence so if u get hog attack..double bomb will destroy hogs..other wise pretty good

Awesome base design, Para!

I would make one minor change to the placement of storages by switching it to every other type of storages. For example: Gold storage- elixir storage - gold storage... etc. For now, I feel like the enemy would most likely attack from the right side as there are two gold storages being close to each other. By switching it to "every other type of storages," it would give the enemy a harder time to decide where to attack.

Looks good except for its very hoggable. Good thing is not a lot of people in this range farm with hogs.

People rarely use hogs to farm in gold/silver leauges, but fair point.

Exactly what I said lol. It's hard to make a farm base anti everything while still saving your resources. It's easier to make a war base anti air/anti hog cuz you can place your storages further out. I like what you have going on and rarely will you get hogged unless someone revenges you as not a lot of people set out nexting with a full complement of hogs.

Th9s will crush this with loonion too but a good th9 will crush a th8 no matter the setup.

Yeah you're right it is hard. Whenever I make bases I never think of anti-hog, maybe that's a bad thing. Either way if you use this just pray you don't get hogged :)

Nah with the popularity of loonion and dragons and the over abundance of elixir I prefer my air defence closer to middle.

Trust me, this base can get very anti-air. Just swap the air defences with the mortars and you're set.

The only query i would have and i could be completely wrong.

But the funneling at the bottom, to me it looks like the giants path would be to break through the wall after the cannon to get the wiz tower and 2 ads instead of pathing through the funnel as it seems intended.

By all means tell me if i am wrong :)

Edit:

Previous post was assuming a WB is used on the bottom of the base, although from the entrance where the tesla's are do giants go through the wall? or path down to the cannon/sniper/cannon?

Hi! thanks for responding. :) If a wall breaker is used on the bottom then yes, the giants will attack the archer tower and the two cannons. I guess then they would break the walls and try and get to the wizard tower but by then they would be taking a lot of damage from all three mortars and clan troops.

Agreed, then what about at the start of the intentional funnel? after the tesla, will they not break through the wall?

If so doesnt it make that funnel pointless? Mabey a shift in defenses in the funnel could help :)

No they walk down the funnel to the cannons, I don't think all the giants walk down but they split up.

I've used it for a few days now and it just ain't working out well for me. Giants are breaking through at the bottom fairly easily and baddies are getting through the top too. I'm near max th8. Even th8s are cracking it without much trouble. What is your experience with it parallel?

I've been using this base for 3 days and to be honest it is pretty solid. I love it how people avoid raiding for 3 stars, they simply go after the TH ignoring everything thats inside.

To be fair that's just TH snipers. They do that with any base. Maybe I'm holding too much in my storages lol. They take my TH and then come for the rest!
