Maybe it's just me, but farming gets boring after a while, so I've decided to trophy hunt for a bit. Then it hit me: let's have a forum-wide contest about this! Yep, that's right, a TH8 farmer forum trophy contest! Enter by posting on this thread! Winner gets 50 housing space worth of troops from me! Hooray! NOTE: This is not endorsed by SC by any stretch of the word. Just thought we should do this for funsies.
I have been slowly creeping up anyway. Added motivation to test out the 2000 league before the 1400 one, since the update is so close. Perfect timing. :)

Hmm I would like to participate, hopefully still find good loot higher up. I have never really been above 1600 as a TH7, before Christmas, got tired of getting rolled every couple of hours and discovered farming. Wanting to see how far I can push my base.

Add a deadline. Make sure you don't make it weeklong! Most folk are busy during the week. So.... how about 23hrs GMT sunday? Or, if you want, you can have the contest start next friday and end 23 hrs GMT on sunday the 21'st April.

Start date, end date or first to reach x many trophies, gemming or no gemming, start point for amount of trophies, or any other ideas for rules?
You need at least a week to do the hunt...I've found what I like to do is rise during the week (when i cant play as much) and try to conserve/gain elixir. Then go for an all out push on the weekend. I'd say minimum 1 week, perhaps 2 weeks, but people may get anxious to return to farming at that point.Quote:

But then... there is no real way to verify if there was any gemming. Lets take the word of players. There are quite a few things that will alter the outcome (CC troops from clan, timezones, luck from being attacked or finding easy bases etc). Lets not fret over the gemming. I will not be using a single gem though.

I suggest we pick a winner who reached highest count over the week. That will remove luck from the equation to a certain extent. So you reach a high range for yourself, take a snapshot and post... continue till the end of week. Then pick your best and submit into the competition.
If highest at end of week is selected, we will create some unhealthy insomniacs in the process. lets keep the competition healthy while being mindful that folks need sleep.
