A few requests

I am very sorry if some of these have been posted before!

Clan suggestions:
1) Allow more letters to be used in clan chat. I find the limit of letters in clan chat really annoying. Limiting the amount of letters just makes people split their messages into several small ones, I find that really annoying and (screen) space consuming.
2) Allow setting a "trial" time for new clan members. During the trial time allow disabling chatting and requesting. Trieal time ends when a x days have passed or x amount of troops have been donated to the clan.
3) Allow disabling requesting of troops, to punish someone for breaking the clan rules.
4) Allow muting of some clan members, also, to punish for breaking rules.
5) Allow setting automatic safeguard to prevent people from just requesting and not giving anything back. Ex. "Only allow requesting troops if amount of received troops is above donated troops by x." When x is set for example 30. Only members who have donated 30 troops more than they have received may request some more.
6) Add private messaging to clan leaders

Building suggestion:
1) Add special skill training building to make some troops a little better. (Additional to troop levels) For example allow increasing attack by 1 point of barbarians for 100 dark elixir.
2) Add fortifying of buildings. Lvl 1 fortifying increases the damage resistance by 5% lvl 2 10% and so on. Fortifying should be quite expensive. To balance the game a bit, dmg done by lightning spell should be increased a bit.
3) Add self-attacking tower. Most of us want to test our defenses and attacking ourselves would be the best way. Attacking ourselves should cause no losses. There should be no limitations to how much, what troops, spells and where they are deployed.

General suggestions:
1) People should be notified when all the spells have finished brewing.
2) Adding people to friend lists that are not in G+ or FB should be possible
3) Add helping a clanmate once a day by speeding up their 1 building by removing 10% of the remaining time.

3) & 4) Yes, leader should have both functions with a "Indefinetly" button. Co leader should also have both functions but the time should be limited to max 3days. Elder should only have the 3) one with limit of max duration of 1day. Leader should be able to remove the restrictions and disable the ability to set restrictions to others for some clanmates. Co-leader should be able to remove restrictions set by elders and him/herself. Elder can only remove restrictions set by him/herself.

#1 good idea but I'm good either which way
#2 I think this idea is good, except for disabling chatting only because if you don't like the person it's easier to kick them than disabling their chat! Some freedoms should stay with individual players! The forced trial period however is a good idea but it shouldn't last longer than 2 days! This could easily stop hoppers for good and you should suggest it any time you see a stop hoppers thread! It is a really good option and the least complicated I have heard.including my own!

#3-5 I understand what you mean however clash of clans is supposed to be social, muting within a clan would stop this however I'll post a thread I made a while back about clan wars that I say the use of a mute button should be permitted! How ever not against members!

The donation deal however if each clan had the option of using it or not then it would be ok! And I think if a clan uses the donation restriction option it should be for the.whole clan! Maybe allowing each rank to be able to receive a little bit more than what they donated! Only to restrict misuse!

Would be nice, but could potentially open up for spam. Maybe only 20 extra characters.

What if I'm visiting and want to check out how the clan is doing? This would be very inconvenient.

This might be a nice addition, but remember that request = more donations + xp for others.

Don't like this as much, because clans should be able to have full communication with eachother.

This could work, but the clan should be able to set rules and punish people accordingly if rules are not met. Also refer to my answer to number 3.

*Assign multiple builders to one build/upgrade
*Upgradeable builders’ huts – lvl 2 huts for a 5% time decrease?
*Player search function
*Ability to change village name
*Active/ Live “Online Status” examples: colored icons, on/off indicator, etc.
*Indicate last online date
*Remove the “Report” button/feature from global chat. Abused too often, and mute is better solution

I prefer less, but more detailed ideas rather than a big chunk of brief ideas.

How could self attacking be exploited? If it has NO affect, then how?

About adding friends, I am only asking for the button "add as a friend" when tapping a users name. No search required.

Basically this is a thread to select the better ideas, and when I have the time I'll make a separate thread with a lot of detail.

If you are worried about the fact that someone might of posted your ideas before then do us and the forums a favor and use that white box with a magnifying glass called the 'search function'

Donating (or trading) resources or gems to (with) other players

I hope it's ruled out, if that EVER gets implemented, I will delete the game from my device, quit entirely. This will be exploited way to much by way to lazy people. They'll always be requesting resources while never giving any, just like a lot do with troops. Then, if they don't get those requested resources, they'll end up crying and ♥♥♥♥♥ing cause no one ever helps them. Yer, this was a horrible idea from the go and whoever submitted it should feel horrible for it.

Ok, I would agree with everything else. But the building suggestion, not such a great idea.

1) Allows stronger players to OP anyone because they have stronger troops than others, even when using the same troops. Also, this is already done using the Labatory
2) This will make it sound more like Boom Beach, and Supercell doesn't want to make them look alike
3) I said this in Boom Beach already, but I'll say this again. No, this is useless. You don't know what troops the attacker will use on you. For example, if you use all archers and you succeed then it tells you that your defense is horrible in defending against archers. And if you lose, then it tells you that your defense is good. But, you don't know what the enemy will use on you. Just because you use all archers and you win, it doesn't mean that the attacker won't use... I don't know... all minions on you and still lose.
