How does the attack Q work with abandoned bases?
I've been playing for nearly 2 years and this is something I really know little about, but today I had a base come up which made me question how it works.
I am a TH10 currently in C1 and I came across an abandoned base, or at least it looked abandoned. There was 775k of each available and 5100de. Storages were over half full and collectors were obviously completely full. Both xbows and IT were empty and the TH was out in a corner. I figured YES, lucky day even though the collectors were within the walls with the other defences!
So, I drop 10 loons to break into the base and here is the funny thing... all of the air mines were still there and had not been triggered. Long story short I used 20 loons and 70 minions with 4 spells and got 1 million gold/lix and only 1400de. I also used my heroes and some of the ground traps were still active!
After the battle I looked at the players stats and it is obvious s/he has not been active on CoC for a VERY long time. Gem box, 40 obstacles on the base, NO stats for CW which means they have not been playing since before CW most likely. They had decent HH, GG and other stats though.
So... How does a base go that long in in the search Q with half full storages and full collectors yet no one raiding it to deplete everything? The simply fact that the traps were still there is the biggest head scratcher for me. Unless they log in every now and then just to reset their traps this makes no sense to me.
Anyone want to explain??
