Welp. I've been in the game since... Oh yeah! September or October 2012 yet I'm only TH7... Well I guess I did go inactive for like, 1.5 years.
Not even close in my eyes, the best update ever was around this time last year (Release Notes). The only flashy thing they added was the player profiles, but they made HUGE balance changes for the better. They reduced balloon training times (made balloonion more viable), buffed the heal spell, and most importantly they finally buffed the league bonus into something meaningful. Prior to that update prolonged trophy pushes were only for the big spenders in my eyes, but the better league bonuses made it so that I could climb to champs without spending more than a few dollars to boost the spell factory. Keep in mind that this was still under the old loot system, so you couldn't really "farm" high at that point, but you wouldn't go negative on resources anymore.
Basically, I went from being the biggest whiner on the forum, on the verge of quitting, to one big happy camper ready to drop money for the first time in 6 months because of it. I liked it that much (and was that upset about it not being done sooner :p).
Honorable mention goes to the new loot system update (unpopular opinion, I know). Basically it improved upon high cup loot even more, making farming outside of crystal and below a reasonable option for the first time. I realize it wasn't so beloved for lower cup players, but I always had a desire to play in high cups, and this cemented my desire to push to the top 200, which I did not too long after.
I liked the league update. (My memory is sorta foggy on it since it was when I had the collect-then-delete-for-months account)
My favourite was the hero/dark elixir introduction one:).
I've been playing since last October. Everything i have enjoyed about this game has pretty much been in place since before I started playing. None of the updates have really changed the game experience for me to any noticeable degree in a positive direction.
I was only in the game briefly before the loot update but i really enjoyed those earlier days compared to afterwards.
Clan wars could have been fun but as a committed farmer it just wasn't worth the effort or resources invested for the loot, especially when hitting a losing run. Some clan members are pump at raiding and despite much effort, cannot be helped.
last update nerfed heroes before I had the got mine to a high level, so i dont really have that to get too excited about. ...in summary, the game would arguably have been better right now if there had been no updates at all in the last year!
Clan wars because I don't know what most of the earlier ones did because I only started playing on 20th march this year. Clan wars is also a very good feature I think (Although I am not very good at attacking).
Thats when Hogs got buffed and became the most OP troops until Giants Bomb nerf.... Spoilt cat! But i really have to say it was good choice since im now Valkyries addict. Always use GoWiVa or other valks combo in clan wars.Quote:
