Show a player's 'strength' in his profile...

From the Clan Wars FAQ:

I would like this strength number shown in a player's profile... This is a much much better measure of a player's strength than his trophy count or his town hall level, or his experience level...

It would be great for us players to see how our strength numbers change when we upgrade a structure or troop level.

It would also be great to see a potential new clan members strength before accepting him into the clan...

This would have the added bonus of reducing the amount of complaining on the clan wars subforum about mismatching.

i think this would be great because nowadays most clans look at level and usually if someone donates a lot they can be a high level no matter what town hall level they are so this system would allow elders to see how STRONG he/she actually is.

2 things.

1) CW is only based on defensive strength, not offensive, which makes it only half as crucial to CW since you can only be 3-starred once on defence, but you can 3-star others twice on offense (i.e. you can only lose 3 stars for your clan by defending, but you can earn up to 6 by attacking). This "strength" won't indicate how strong an attacker someone is.

2) This will lead to "name-and-shame" which SC has always been clearly against. Let me provide an example:

Harold: "Hey Kumar, I just 3-starred the base you 1-starred, and you are a 85 strength when I'm only a 70 strength, what the heck, you suck!"

CW matching is based on BOTH offense and defense. Order of players on the CW map is defense only.

Offense is more important that defense for CW, I agree with that.

Strength numbers shown in the profile could show BOTH offense strength and defense strength. I'm down with that. Certainly the more information we are provided, the better.

On the naming and shaming thing, that already can and does happen to a certain extent. "Hey Kumar, you just attacked #25 and only 1 stared him. WTH man you are #10?" **Kumar has been kicked out of the clan**

In the above scenario, Kumar was perhaps even more unfairly treated, than in your scenario, if his offense is weak compared to his defense since his CW ranking is based on his defense, and his ability to attack has nothing to do with his defense and therefore his ranking...

De acuerdo. This would be nice. Maybe show both Offense and Defense power, so that they know what they can work on.

I would really like this idea. I have 3 people in my clan with almost identical bases and it would be cool to see why the top person is #1 etc.

Is the townhall a big factor is war placement, eg. in the last war we have a rushed th9 base placed 3 and a maxed th8 place 4, the rush base has 5 lv8 cannons 3 lvl8 archers towers 2 lvl7 archer towers 3 lvl2 wizard tower 3 lvl4 mortars 1 lvl 1 mortar 4 lvl1 tesla 2 lvl1 xbows lvl1 BK and lvl1 AQ 2 Lvl4 airdefences and 2 Lvl3 airdefences lvl 4 and 5 walls lvl 6 camps yet it was place above a maxed th8 how is the rushed base strength greater than the maxed th8 base ?

I find these types of gripes hilarious, because what they really tell me is that the person complaining is too lazy to glance at a player's base and profile to gauge their strength for themselves.
