Here's a related AI bug that just happened to me: I dropped my AQ, and the bullseye mark showed her target as the DE storage.

But guess what? She attacks the gold storage instead.

I guess the AQ is hitting the nearest target, like she is supposed to. But why does the bullseye mark something else?

Troops en route to a target will reassess their intended target if they are not currently actively engaging one.

As far as I remember, the bullseye that first pops up when you drop any troop shows the intended target.

Anyone can see it, troops pausing en route to that last builders hut in the corner will take a slight pause as they look for a more optimal target.

Sorry, that has nothing to do with the bullseye mark that appears when a troop is first dropped. The bullseye has always shown the intended target of a new troop dropped.

Your example describes when troops select a next target without the bullseye (e.g. a troop is dropped, destroys the bullseyed target, and then runs toward the next target without a bullseye popping up to show the next target.)

Every x seconds troops who are not actively attacking a target check for other possible targets while en route. Plain and simple. Yes when you deployed the queen she targeted the DE storage, however the storage being so far away left time for the AI function previously mentioned to affect her target.

Do you even read? His example clearly shows the bulls eye that wasn't supposed to be there > AI problem no.1. The Ai problem no.2 is that the queen doesn't even target the bullseye, which she's supposed to do.

Even then when you're saying that it's part of the AI for troops to target nearest building, then explain to me why queen chooses to shoot a building BEHIND another one?

The bullseye does look odd. But, regardless of the bullseye dropping the queen as shown in the picture do you really expect her to go for the DE storage before the gold storage?

The AQ should go after the gold storage first. I'm just pointing out that the bullseye is acting screwy, if it is not marking the intended target. That's another new bug that I never noticed happening before.
