give gems to most heroic attacker and most heroic defender

I bet Supercell thinks 0-0 gems is an even better idea....

Heck, I just got 200 gems for War Hero (150 stars) and the next level is 1000 gems.

You want free gems outside of 1-6 from Obstacles? You've gotta earn them!

It does. In my most recent clan war, the opposing clan's most heroic attack was someone who got 50% on my base (#1). Granted, they didn't have very many good attacks, but I was still surprised to see them get most heroic.

Again, I am for gems being a reward for a larger scale war tournament or something of that nature but I see some serious flaws in using the existing "most heroic" scoring in addition to those already mentioned

Perhaps your lower attackers are attacking very tough targets, but I've run into the opposite problem. As the #1 player in my clan, I often get most heroic for 2-starring one of the top players in the opposing clan. They tend to be near-maxed th 10s, but I have max troops and spells along with decent heroes, so I really don't deserve most heroic. In any case, it's clear that "Most heroic" is not a good measure to award gems from.
