My clan is ready to quit wars due to the constant miss matching
Heres our latest one
My clan total points 15083
Enemy clan total points 16856
My clan lvls above 90 = 2 (102 and 108)
Enemy clan lvls above 90 = 9 (131,126,113,117,102,103,96,90,90)
This is a constant problem we are having. We are a good clan with no issues regarding participation or raiding techniques, all we need is a fair match up.
Clan points don't affect the matching at all. Neither do levels. Nor should they. you can even get to level 200 without being th10 by donation hopping clans.
However uneven matchups based on troop levels and such are a huge pain and have been plagueing Clan Wars since the start. My clan is very good at wars yet we keep facing clans with much higher level troops who completely demolish our bases leaving us little chance. We had a losing strike of like 9 wars even though almost everyone used their attacks and did pretty good job too. Unfortunately that doesn't help at all when the enemy has tons of people who can easily 3 star even your clan's top bases.
Really the whole Clan War concept is so flawed still ( terribad matchups, no opt-in, war deserters, flawed war castle donation system which burdens the highest troop level players and doesn't even allow clan leader(s) to dismiss troops like wallbreakers put to castles by noobs or identify culprits, major zEEting ... the list just goes on and on) they should have really tested things out properly before even introducing it into the game.
I think people need to look at the big picture.
Seemingly, only the "top" of the war map gets mentioned. What about the bottom? Or middle?
If your clan is overpowered at the top, then most likely you have an advantage in another bracket. Most of the clans we have beaten in CW, basically boils down to 2 things.
1) Lack of participation from the other side
2) Terrible attacking/attack planning
Mismatch is a word used all to often, imo
Our lower levels dont stand a chance.
And since our high players also stand no chance against the enemys top 10, it leaves us with less chance of getting more stars.

This is good, if it was true. But most of the time it isnt. Our clan have had 2 mismatch in our 3 war loses (the 3rd loss is our current war today) wherein they haveQuote:

We're facing an Indonisian clan with => TH10: 5 (very well developd), TH9: 8 (6/8 nearly maxed), TH8: 9 (normal), TH7: 3 (normal).
Our clan currently => TH10 1 (just finished upgrading), TH9: 9 (2 nearly maxed), TH8: 10 (normal), TH7: 5 (normal).
Checked the troops and their TH10's have lots of maxed troops (TH10 lvl like wizards) and maxed spell factories.
So overall they have a huge advantage with at least 10 attacks. We're not happy with it but we're gonna fight from our underdog posistion en maybe surprise them.
If your clan wars back to back like ours the "mismatching" becomes maybe less big because we know in our clan that 1/10 we will face an easy win or maybe a heavy defeat due to this. But overall in most of the wars the matchmaking is doing really well.

My clan now has more than 40 war wins. A few of them we were obviously far more capable than the clan we steamrolled, a few times we have been manhandled. Most of the time the battle is much closer. Overall I see nothing broken in the matchmaking system. SC may want to revisit how wide a band they use as an acceptable range but the core equation for scoring troops and buildings seems to be working. However, if SC does decide to adopt a limitless "opt-out" button I dread what it will do to the match making engine.
I would expect the opt-out to work that prior to starting war seach clan members have had the chance to opt-out and then the system would look how many eligable willing warriors the clan has and search a war opponent based on that.Quote:

If your clan has a wide variation of development levels, you're kind of screwed. The algorithm doesn't really know how to work with variations like that (TH9-TH5). I had the same situation in my old clan, where I was the top base, and the bottom bases were TH4.
What does town hall level have to do with it? If you had a clan with 10 premie town hall 10's and one with 10 well developed town hall 9's the clan with town hall 9's would destroy the premie town hall 10's.Quote:

It does look like we got a pretty bad matchup this time. Oh well, happens. Just have to see what we can do.
