i want to max my walls to level 7 but 200k is too expensive, the loot at 1200-300 is not bad i can manage 100k per raid but then i will have to wait 20 min to finish my troops and attack again so its like 300k per hour. however i've been told at 200 cups and below i can make 1 mil per hour, is that true?
About 4/5 months ago I was there as a th8 and had no problem getting loot for my skull walls, so you shouldn't have any problems either if the situation is about the same.
Go for quick goblin/archer/barb raids for 50k and up.
The down sides:
- probably wont be in clan wars due to trophy level
- as soon as you log off for a while you will gain a few hundred trophies
- it does get boring :)
Sub200 is great for TH7s. However, it sounds like you pick up the game to play then put it down for 20 minutes. To raid in sub200, you need to be on it continuously. I suggest you stay in your current range, but try nexting more often and being more selective over the bases you raid. You should be able to find more than 100k gold per attack. All the time you are searching, your next army will be training too.

Sub200 is perfect for th7 (less for th8)
you can farm there easily. but you must boost your barracks with gobs so you could raid every 2mins in case you dont spend all the gobs in one raid. i tried to farm once at sub200 as th8 and i managed to get 3.2m in 2hours boosted

well ill have to try it than or im doing something wrong . i have a second town at th7 and i went to sub 100 trophies.
i searched and nexted my a$$ off and best i could find were 10k~20k bases
and also i left game for w few minutes and before you know it i got a few hundred trophies lol .( 5~15 minutes of no play

I reached TH8 last week and i was in the same spot as yours. All defenses maxed and most walls were waiting to be colored purple. I was in gold 2 league and not getting much loot for walls and i wanted to get it FAST.
So, i decided to find out my own trophy range where i can get LOTS of gold.
I dropped to 400. It sucked. Negligible loot from th5's, th6's and i needed 200k QUICK. I kept going up the trophy range (not a problem since you get lots of trophies as soon as you login after 20mins).
Around 1100, it was still not that great. You would come across big loots but NOT often. So i kept going up.
Around 1250, it started looking good. Pumps/mines were in the boosted period and loot started pouring in.
I went as high as 1400 and finally decided to stay between 1280 and 1400. This was my sweet spot. I finished all purple walls very quick.
Troop composition i used: 80+ goblins, 90+archers, 8 wallbreaks.
My targets were always villages with empty storages BUT full pumps/mines and at this range i got a LOT. My highest loot was just above 1M in gold and elixir together from a TH8 (i was hunting with 25hogs since i had lots of useless DE at TH7 and got lucky big time).
Suggestion: Drop to 800 trophies and find your own sweet spot.

What i posted was my method (since i could not be online for long hours for sub-200 farming) and i am suggesting the OP do the same.

i dont understand the point of sub 200 farming... sub 200 trophies right?
I mean you get down there and the MAJORITY of the bases you see are well under 100k resources. So if you waste time nexting you are going to lose gold, not gain it.
So, if you ARE sub 200 farming can you explain why and how you find any success?

The general rule of sub200 farming is to aim for 1k gold per goblin used. Don't use more troops than necessary and this is especially true if you want to do sub200 without boosting. Don't attack bases that you aren't confident about getting 1k per goblin - you won't have to next for long to find one that you can hit efficiently.
Learning how to bait mortars and wiz towers with single goblins while your main horde slams the storages helps a lot.
I made a new account to see what it looks down there, as a th2 in the 150 trophy range all i could find was bases with 1k or 5k and I nexted A LOT and the best i could find was 20k. I should be able to find 10k after each next but it didn't work. haven't tried it thought with my th7Quote:
