how did this matching happen?

Not complain, just want to know how the matching system works.
We don't war a lot, however, we love clan war, win or lose.
Last time, we were matched to "seventh sense", a very strong clan. we had to fight hard for the win.
This time, we are matched with another strong clan, geez, a little bit too much for us.
50 Vs 50
Th 10 9 :28( opponent)
Th 9, we have 24 Th 9s, they have 21 th9s. in fact, their bottom base is the only Th8. we have more than 10 TH8s and several Th 7s.

all their TH 9s have > level 1 xbow, some of our new Th9s still building.
how did this matching happen?

You pressed the start war button around about the same time as they did and there the other available remotely close matches were already matched so your clan lucked out.

Yup. We have a very decent clan with 45 players. Some matches have been un-winnable (especially those ridiculously organised Asian clans) , some have been fabulously close and the last 2 we have smashed a clearly over-matched clan.
We dont moan when it's tough, enjoy when its easy and love it when it close...All part of the fun

I've been really impressed with the standard of matching recently. I believe our last three outings have been very close and gone down to the last couple of raids. The upcoming war looks to be the same too.

But you do get these odd matches sometimes. Just don't worry about it try your best and see what happens.

recommended target means nothing

Yeah is wrong we need better matching, we can wait for hours with matching but to be fair we need to match them with their level FFS

Id happily wait hours after pressing 'start war' if it meant the matching was more even
