Clash-Olympics

Once a year, SC should gather representatives from each country, divided into certain tiered groups, and set up a tournament that will represent a sort of Olympics for CoC. What I mean by tiered groups is, instead of just getting the 50 best players from every country, there will be groups at each tier, i.e. 50 players from the Champ league, 50 from the Master League, and so on all the way down to Bronze III. All the players on a team will be either the 50 best from a specific country, or possibly even 50 randomly chosen players from each league, per country. The issue with dividing the groups up per League is that some players are in a league in which they really have no business. SC does a good job at diving through the data of each village's specs (defenses, army size/strength, etc.) and pairing up clans for Clan Wars, so maybe something like this would have to be implemented to keep the teams from being wildly lop-sided. Another issue is the interference with existing clan activity. Haven't thought of solid ways to keep this from messing with current clan activity as some players would not want to drop out of their clan for a certain amount of time to go rep their country in the tourny while spending a ton of loot to do so, however, maybe SC could back every team with a certain amount of elixer to train troops for armies and clan castles. That way, the playing field is even and its all about one team's defenses, armies, and most importantly, strategies, versus the other team's, and the amount of loot on hand and what players are willing to spend isn't really an issue. I'm sure the nay-sayers and forum police can quickly come up with some unbacked reasons for this being a horrible idea (i.e..."you're idea is bad because this would make the game different and I spent all my time on this super cool signature so I don't have any examples to help back my claim"...you all know how it goes around here), but given some thought and elbow grease from people much smarter than I at game dev., I think SC can make this happen and it would be a pretty cool feature. Lets try to stay positive and give feedback that helps. I am all for you disliking/hating the idea, but a comment that tells me I suck and my idea sucks doesn't help anyone. TRY your best to give reasons why you think this won't work so that it can be built upon and maybe resolved/morphed into a workable idea. Thanks.
