A question about Dark Elixir

I just recently became a town hall level 7 about a few days ago and one of the first new buildings I built was the dark elixir storage. I haven't been able to attack many town hall 7 bases because even though I have a bigger army now ( am able to almost hold 195 troops) im still feeling a lil shaky about attacking other bases. When I've tried to find a decent base to attack for dark elixir, they either have it very well protected or don't have much or 0 so i have to skip it and go onto another base. I'm well aware that dark elixir is a very hard resource to come by for my level, but since i'm not gonna be able to be active on the game as I used to be, I was wondering; is there anything I can do to find more dark elixir to come across or at least find some bases that have easy access to it? So far in one raid to where I have gotten dark elixir i got a somewhat decent amount (434 to be exact) and since then I've only lost some of it so im sitting at over 400 dark elixir right now.

I'm open to any feedback/suggestions guys :D

Some people hate it, but as a town hall 7, the only effective way is by taking lighting spells, and just dropping them on a DE storage. If your not finding many storages, go up in your trophies.

Personally I just ignored de until I got the drill. Its a lot better for you to focus on upgrading defences and lab, not the de stuff. Good luck.

I was considering that but right now i'm only able to hold 2 spells since my spell factory is only level 2 :/

As much as I want to ignore it, i can't :P I like to max out my base before going to the next town hall level and that includes troops and that.

Im gonna say get the spell factory up, get another spell slot and do more :rolleyes:.

It really is the only way you will get DE effectively at your level, without having to attack tough opponents in clan wars.

Don't try to get DE too soon because if you're unable to get DE quickly, it'll be a liability and become another storage that you need to protect. It's fine to build the DE storage but don't actively try to get DE until you have lv3 spell factory, mostly lv5/6 camps, and some upgrades to your troops. The BK is useful so you can try to get 10k quickly but don't aim to get more DE and level him since upgrades are only good every 5 levels which will take 65k more to reach and that will take a while

I'm sitting in the same boat and I get enough de to be able to use BAM in silver I. I just look for th8s with their drill out or take the de of stuffed bases which are easy to take out. You don't get much per raid, but it adds up.

It's gonna probably be a little bit before i upgrade my spell factory though, as what I'm doing with my builders right now is upgrading all of my new buildings and walls that I unlocked at town hall 7 and getting them all to a th 6 level, I'm nearly caught up though 4 days without spells will be rough for attacking.

So you think once i level my troops up some it'll be a little bit easier to raid bases for dark elixir? and yeah the barb king was what I was aiming for at first but right now I just want enough dark elixir to be able to use dark elixir troops like minions or hog riders (don't have either yet but i can wait lol)

as much as i would love to use the bam strategy im unable to because i havent built the dark barracks yet :(

I'll give you the easy way how I got my 10k de for king in 3 days
1)Snipe town hall to 1600 trophies.if they are th8,th9 hit their drills as well.I got more than half on my way to 1600.
2)Lightning only and only if u have a 1 star,and they have 1500 de plus.Remember what goes around comes around eventually.plus it will help u climb to 1600 where the real de is.So play nice :)
3)Once at 1600 either u would have max de storage or nearing it.get ur king.Come back to normal farming range.
4)Dont bother upgrading the king or de troops yet.Its much faster at th8 with drill

does your clan war a lot? That DE war loot can be a nice way to supplement your raids.
Get better at attacking, if you can even just one or two star higher bases you can get a few hundred.
