Leaders and co-leaders get to choose which members they take into wars.

Hi all, I've been a little down hearted at times when our clan loses due to inactive members participating in wars, first of all I know what some will say before you say it (kick them) but it's not that they are always inactive, they may just have a life outside of the game like we all do. The other day I had a great idea as 3 of our members put up in chat I'm off on my holidays sorry if I'm not active please don't kick me and I thought well of course I can't kick them for that I will do the same occasionally but if the other 40 members r active they will want to go to war as regular as we normally do, only if we go to war that's 6 attacks down straight away and the other clan may all be active so the war is a loss from the instant push of the search button. Given that said my idea came to me in respect of members on there holidays or just want to be inactive for a short while so here goes supercell, do you think it is possible for you to add a war member select screen before war searches,thus allowing only leaders and co-leaders to choose who goes into the next war so that the (on holiday members) can be left out of wars while they are away. This idea would also be a great way of punishing members for not doing attacks where leaders can say u did not attack in the last war and I selected you as my front line army so now you can miss the next war or simply say to people being abusive to other members your out of the next war if you persist the abuse to members. I feel the above idea is better than kicking members for inactivity the clan searches and matching of clans would obviously stay the same but members of clans then have a choice to opt out of a war they will not be active in. My final idea is defensive based and see that it is present in some defences already and should not be too hard to add into the game so here's my idea, just like tesla tower have a favourite target of P.E.K.K.A I think maybe the wizard tower should also have a favourite target of its own as wizards and witches don't really get on in fantasy novels or films then maybe the wizard tower should have the favourite target of witches as I feel witches are over powered and nothing is really stopping them in a big number if you catch my drift. All the above is my own ideas and would be great if they was part of the game I think these ideas would make a great difference in game play and clan strength. Thanks supercell for reading 👍.

Thank for letting me know, what do you think of the wizard tower idea though?

This is a bad idea, other people should not be able to exclude members from participating in war. The opt-out button is better.

Respect your input but I think the opt out button would cause longer clan searches due to waiting for members to opt in if they r offline at the time of search maybe have both but not just the opt out button think leaders choice is a good way forward it would not effect searches either. Thanks for your comment though this is what it's all about 👌

That isn't how the opt-out button works. Members would click opt-out and not be in wars until they selected opt-in again. Search time would not be affected at all.

I am glad people are posting,,, and I am glad people like you are reminding every one that its something a lot of people are talking about.

ultimately supercell should at least put it in the read before posting as something they are looking at.

at this point I feel like they are just trolling us.

Oh oh ok I get you now, sort of like an availability slide bar button to opt in wars or out on your own war menu or in your own clan castle info maybe say at the top by clan info and wars won ect. That I suppose is a good idea but I still think leaders need a control system over wars due to the fact if what we are saying actually went into the game think about it, members could opt into a war but still not do attacks so on that note the leader or other members of your clan are not going to want that so say an automatic ban on the next war if a member opts into a war but does not do his or hers attacks that way the leaders or co's have no control over that and there for no favouritism can take place. That way if you opt into a war don't do attacks and get your self banned from opting into the next one it's the members or players own fault. What's your views on that idea buddy, would like to know your take on this. Thx for input so far 👍

Hi this is not a vote it's a generation of ideas if u think the opt in/out button would work please explain like I have or why you think leaders selecting war members is a bad idea please don't just agree with someone else explain your views on why or how it would work. Keep in mind the opt in/out button does not prevent members from not doing attacks in war so it does not solve the leaders or clans problem of losing wars due to lack of attacks but an automatic banning of the next war on no attacks performed as I suggested does kind of penalise the player for not participating when they have opted in to the war, making it there own fault not the leaders plus leaders or co's would have no control of the auto banning system would they, there for out ruling favouritism in clan war selections. 👍
