I think that that's the right idea, we need to try everything, but I also think that th9 and 10s can get away with using a larger core due to more walls and defensive buildings. I think that at th8 we should have a core that's just a bit smaller.

So if we need a smaller core, then what should we put in? CC, DE Storage, King, Teslas, and a Gold Storage seems to be what we have so far.

The second one might be a bit better if you switched the king and gold storage.

The only reason why I suggested a core like that is because there is nothing in there besides de that is valuable, so no one will try going to the core if there is nothing important. So the mortars will be alive, the king will be in the center making the base look like a pain to attack. I know what I'm talking about :cool:

A trend that I see working is smaller rounder cores, at the dead center of bases. If they are too long in any direction, they tend to get broken into easier and stomped through.

Hmmm i see your point, but then where does all our valuable stuff go? And with a bigger core the storage so would have to be closer to the edge making me easier to nab.

I agree... We need a fairly small core that still has buildings of value in it. I don't see a need to put mortars in the core imo...

The storage can go in the next layer, right after this one, and the defensive structures after that, which would kinda render this base anti hog because the hogs would go around the base, giants too. I'm not saying this base would end up a box shaped, because I'm against that, but let's give everything a try. There's a lot of cores here already, take one and add to it, then re-post it.
