Help! 2 days until TH9!
Hey guys,
So pretty much as the title suggests, I'm 2 days away from TH9. I will be entering with 6M Gold/Elixir and around 30-40k dark. Oh yeah, and I have 4 builders.
I was wondering about a few thins.
First thing's first. Is there any good farming base design that will help me at start? I mean, I know there are a lot of great TH9 base designs, but not really suited for very-early-TH9 villages.
Secondly, what is the best build/upgrade order? I was thinking to build 2 X-Bows and upgrade the laboratory. If I have 40k dark, I'll build the AQ, but if not? What should I do with my other builder? Or is there a better build/upgrade order than this?
Also, I'll keep using BARCH for farming, but where should I be farming, league-wise?

I built my first xbow, upgraded spell fac and lab, and used the last builder to buy queen, new defenses, traps, walls, etc. After that, I would say focus on maxing your offense first. Max army camps, and upgrade the main troops you use, when your lab is done (kinda obvious but whatever:p). You can upgrade dark barracks, to get witches, but I personally don't use them so I will get them later. :p
Apparently the best league for farming at early TH9 is Gold 2-3.
None of the great TH9 bases are for early TH9s with no xbows, etc. I was struggling with this as well, but I just had to wait until my defense were all built, then I could copy the good bases.
Edit: I knew I forgot something, as well as camps and lab upgrades, upgrade the cc as well, it helps a lot. ;)

I'm going to TH9 as well, got 5d left. I also have 4 builders and plan on going full offence. I plan to get CC, Lab, SP and AQ to at least 1 with the last builder, maybe straight to 2 if I have the DE. I would say in terms of offence:
SP --> Lab --> Camps since I would rather have L6 troops at the start over 20 more spaces. Also SP is good for farming and relatively cheap as well. I am doing CC first because I want to get it over and done with, and it is helpful on offence and defence.
For a base, at a new TH I tend to just adapt my older base until the new stuff is built. Kind of hard to build a base when you don't have everything. Also whether you do 1, 2 or no x-bows depends on what your priorities are, do you really want that L4 SP? Can it wait? Is there any point in doing my lab straight away because the upgrades are so expensive? I think you need to ask yourself these types of questions.

IMO the best improvements for Town Hall 9 are:
More troops (Clan Castle/Army Camps)
Fourth spell
Giants level 6
Archer Queen
X-bows
Fourth AD/WT
Archer Queen at 5 is a great farming tool (Royal Cloak or pick last few buildings for 50%). I'd put a builder on that one.
Giants level 6 are a great tool as well, cause you can now get into bases so easily. As a TH8 you've must have been hitten hard by these babies... So Laboratory
Fourth spell makes you a god in war on TH8's (for now, soon you will be taken on the 9's and then its a must have), so Spell Factory
Then its your choice between offense and defense. X-bows go a long way in protecting your farming base. Don't think you do your clan a big favor tough, because it might look good that you'll have them in war when you start building them, but you get a opponent with level one X-bows in return (sort of). For offense I would choose Clan Castle so you can spent gold too.
When this is done I'd focus on new stuff and the choice you didn't make (offense/defense).

I'm also currently upgrading to TH9. With 5 builders, my priorities are: XBow, 2nd DE drill, SP, Lab, and use the 5th to add AT, WT, and AD. Then I plan to lean towards my camps to give me 20 more troops.
With the Lab, will it be best to upgrade my war ensemble of balloons and drags first, or should I lean towards archers? I neglected DE troops in TH8 because I hardly use them and wanted to wait till I got that 2nd DE drill anyways.

The first post by Libertyyy is spot on IMO. I did both xbows right away and don't regret it, but be prepared to lose 2 builders for 6 days or so. Not normally a big deal, but a bit annoying with so many new toys to build. Lab does have a small requirement you need to be aware of. Archers are expensive and require your new elixir storage to be maxed.

Flake, how much are lvl6 archers?

7.5m elixir and 14 days. I did barbs first while I was upgrading the elixir storage. 10 days for them I think.
also Panther, there is no th9 dragon upgrade unfortunately. But definitely upgrade your most used farming troops first. Lvl6 ballons get a big upgrade in hp and dmg.

Thx brah... Sounds like a good reason to get caught up in DE troops, that I've neglected, in that meantime.

For active raiders offense is way more important.
First focuses are lab, camps, queen, driall and than defense.
