Base design differences? Farming, war, etc.
So I'm pretty new to Clash and obviously brand new to the forums, but I was wondering if someone could explain the reasoning behind the different base designs, and best ways to make those types of bases (basics, of course)?
I'm pretty sure the basics are:
Farming Base - protect gold, elixir, and especially dark elixir storages. Set up your base to make sure those are the last things that get attacked, if possible.
War base - prevent stars, and therefore the Town Hall gets the best protection.
I guess my question ultimately is why is the Town Hall outside the main base on a farming base? Is it to intentionally get people to attack and then not try to destroy the rest of the base? Is it impossible/very difficult to make a base that defends both the Town Hall and storages very well? I guess why would you sacrifice trophies if it's preventable?
