I personally use reflector as mentioned above. If you have Windows 7 or later or a recent mac (not sure on the OS of those) all you have to do to record is alt+r:)

Reflector Airplay Receiver is a popular screen recorder for the iOS.

Turn on your camera, and press record

You could download ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so you can play Clash on PC and then use Fraps.

There is an Android version of Reflector too.

Mirroring is the only way for iOS 7 right now.

In 2+ weeks iRec will be released.
