People like Tyrael, ZachUVA and MaggieP0tat0 do it occasionally, Zach wrote a guide that could help you.
Here's the link
There are many players who farm in Champion. Just need to have the right troop complement, deployment and select the right bases. I know a guy who barchs in Champion for millions of resources a day!
yes, about four or five ppl do it constantly in my clan
Its possible... The loot bonus is good and so is the loot, but i dont recommend it... Master league maybe?
I must say I am a pretty great farmer in champs. I have loads of pics on my Instagram. Clashing_Chimp
I've got great loot!
As TH9, I farmed in champs for the last 2 weeks. Fantastic loot using loons. You do have to stay active for an extension session. I only cared about gold for walls and DE so I left my TH outside with my elixir storages (as I have all TH9 elixir upgrades done) Over that entire time, I was sniped 95% of the time with only 2 serious attacks (gowipe/gowiwi). I needed to have my queen awake though to secure the win in a lot of cases while getting the loot. Losses are pretty bad (-30-37 cups are common). I would try to limit myself to a single rage spell per battle but when I use more than 1, I would then boost my spell factory and 1 barrack. My favorite part of farming in champs is not having to press next so often and the very similar base designs to raid. After a while, it becomes auto-pilot with certain base designs.
Not really "special strategies" but work on but I start out by determining which storages I am going for and if I can hit all or not. If not, I take a look at which free structures are available from the sides I am not attacking from that I can just get with a minion. Then it's just knowing the basic counts and pathing for the loons. I think it was Unity Sharp's guide that helped me the most initially with knowing if you deploy loons slightly to the left or right of the first defensive structure where the loons will go.
The other thing just to save spell factory boosting is practicing the balloon drop on archers/wizards till the point you're not having to waste a bunch of balloons. If you can't, then try to lightning the troops over a builder hut/hero alter that's central in which you would not normally be getting. The other thing is dealing with witches (more specifically skeletons) as they can really ruin your day when it comes to the extra percentages. Ed's videos I think does quite well to show off some very cool techniques to lure and deal with them that I would recommend:
