Why TH8 for those who said it? There's loot penalty for it as well...
I was always told it was TH7, but TH7 struggles to defend against TH8's and up, at least a well put together (and maxed) TH8 has a chance against TH9/10's that aren't great at attacking...
People that say TH8 is the best for looting, are just looting the wrong people when TH10.
TH 10 is best - period.
But you need to have a balanced village, and not just race to TH10 - then you will have a hard time.
TH8 are constantly bullied by strong TH9. In my opinion the best TH is 9.
