I really think that the next dark elixir troop should be Spearmen. They would do the same as archers by throwing spears over walls.

Does he have a special perk? Because most DE troops do, so he would kinda feel left out if he didnt

Maybe it's first spear shocks the defence it hits for a second?
But I have an idea for the perk- How about they have range thats too long for cannons, teslas and wizard towers to hit when Spearmen target said defenses, only Xbows, mortars, and archer towers can attack them. However, to compensate they should have very low HP (like a boom beach Zooka). Also damage of 25 at level 1.
