Give Clan Leader More Control of Clan Chat

Have you ever had this happen?

You recruit a new member to your clan. You think he/she will be an excellent addition. They join and instantly request troops. Or demand Co. Or something. Things go south. They post some inappropriate comments and then leave.

Now you are stuck with their comments on your clan boards and there's nothing you can do about it. You can't report someone on clan chat. You can't delete that post. They've dropped a bomb and walked away and you are left with the explosion.

This is especially pertinent if you have young ones in your clan.

Here's my thoughts on a solution:

1) Give the clan leader special permission. Give them the option to delete posts in clan chat. Simple enough. If you lead the clan you should be able to wield this power.

2) Add a "report" option within clan chat. Any member can report someone who joins, makes an inappropriate comment and then moves on.

Thoughts?

your first idea is currently ruled out by supercell, please read the stickies before posting.

Any more information on that report button? So far it is just useless

Disagree with you.I think this report button would be a good feature and stop people swearing etc.Only problem is,leader may get carried away and might report someone just for leaving the clan.

What I meant was, I see no point in reporting someone who already left the clan.. They probably aren't coming back and the OP didn't say anything about what happens after you report them. So, so far the report button (from his description) is useless.

Here's the issue... there is currently no repercussion for some jerk who joins a clan, says something inappropriate and then leaves. However, that clan now has that comment stuck there until newer comments push it down and off the feed.

Now say that there are youngsters in your clan. They see that comment and there's nothing you can do about it.

I think it's reasonable to ask for a way to discourage that behavior or remove the content.
