Should I upgrade my TownHall?

Here is where I'm at...

I have a Level 8 TH right now and EVERYTHING except for my walls are done. my walls are all level 7 and I have about 100 of them to level 8.

Normally, I give the advice to my clan members to upgrade everything they possibly can before going up a TH, however this methodology is currently being a pain in my butt.

I only ask for this reason, I have nothing to spend elixir on. I get raided and raided and raided and lose hundreds of thousands of elixir every single time. This sucks because I feel as if. I went up a TH I could easily be spending that elixir on something and not just letting it sit there and be taken.

Before you say anything about it, yes, I literally have nothing (accept for training troops) to spend elixir on. All troops are level 5 or 3 respectively (even pekkas) and actually my dark troops are even high level as I have a level 6 barb king and level 4 hog riders.

Someone please just shoot me some advice, I really don't know what to do. On the one hand I don't want to go up a TH without having walls to level 8 (500k each), but I am literally bleeding elixir. HELP!

Go for it. It will be more efficient to upgrade and have something to spend resources on other than walls. Good luck.

I say upgrade because your defensive weapons are already max. As for upgrading for max elixir, for those of us who barches elixir is always maxed and is always wasted when you collect them in a raid.

If you're maxed and are literally sitting there with max elix and 5 idle builders, yeah I'd probably start the TH upgrade.

Walls would be nice to have done for sure, but you're about half way anyway with only 125 or so left. That's not too terrible and you can always work on some walls while waiting 10 days for your TH9 upgrade.

The only downside to this is I generally like to go into the new TH with full storages so I can get most of the new upgrades going. If you still have walls, odds are you aren't going to be having much gold going into TH9. That or you just save gold, but then you will be a prime target for TH9's to raid in the meantime.

I wouldn't worry about losing the elixer too much. You have such a surplus as a later TH8 it's really unavoidable. Hell, I even put all 3 full elix storages outside right next to my TH just hoping attackers would loot it lol.

Dark elixer is good? You have BK maxed at 10, and enough saved up for the AQ? I'd make sure I was close to that as well.

I would a solid 4 days of wall farming and then hit upgrade. That's a total of 14 days to finish all 125 to lvl 8 walls. If you are solely focused on walls this should be easy if you raid enough and still max storages on the way. Aim for 12-15 per day which is 6-7 million gold and more on weekends. It will suck but you will be glad seeing all lvl 8 walls with your new TH9. not counting the 25 new walls you get :)


Put your TH in the corner if it is not. Shouldn't be losing hundreds of thousands of elixir every single time with a farming base unless you are getting bullied by TH9 attackers maybe lower trophy range?
