So you have 200 L6 barbarians lined up on one side and 200 L6 goblins lined up on the other and you let them fight each other.
The last man standing would be?
Barbarian or Goblin?
I say Goblin. My fellow clanmate says Barbarian.
Maybe we should run a survey, or better still, get SuperCell to run it for real and post the result on youtube!
id say goblin, their attack speed would get the edge imo

1v1 it would take the barbarian 2.615 seconds to kill a goblin, and it would take a goblin 2.169 seconds to kill a barb.
sounds like the barbarian has a slight advantage right? Wrong.
bith troops have a 1 second attack speed, so neither would get that .615 or .619 second attack in. So both would take until a third tick of the clock when they attacked to kill the opponent, so in theory the barb has an advantage but in reality both troops would take a full 3 seconds to kill the other. So long as they begin attacking simultaneously it would be a draw.
It definitely depends on the speed, and a bit of luck on whether it will be 1v1 for each one, or up to 10v1.Quote:

Math says that Barbs will win based on survival time ratio (hit points divided by other unit's DPS). But it still depends on how they are deployed.

One more thing to add to my above post: Barbs might have more survival time mathematically, but that still doesn't tell us when that last hit will occur since they both have different attack speeds. Since they are so close, it would be hard to actually tell who would win.

You also need to take account of speed.
Is it going to be one massive cluster against another, or are they spread out into smaller groups?
Spread out, goblins win without a doubt. They would come together faster and be able to pick of the smaller barb groups before they had time to group together.
Another thing to think about, do they have gold in thier pockets?
