Hey guys, I am a clasher and I wanted to know what are the best troops to have in your clan castle in order from 1-13. This is including the dark troops. I am going to put up a poll, do that and also comment on your thoughts and opinion.
*Note, Take into consideration the housing cost and splash damage capability.

Dragons: high HP, aoe damage, flying.
I have always preferred archers to be donated over anything unless I asked from something specific, which is a rule I have in my clan. Now it does also depend on if your defending or attacking which troop is "actually" better but for defending your base Archers all the way for afew reasons. 1) they shoot over walls 2) there are 25 of them 3) 25 troops take longer to kill. Now if I was attacking I can see why people would pick dragons or maybe even a peeka. But in general I say archers re best to give cause you need know if that person you donate to is going to attack with them or logoff and defend with them. Also an example of a replay I had on my base with 25 archers that most may not think about. I was attacked by afew peekas and as they were plowing through my defense my 25 archers came out to defend. Now archers don't do much damage to afew peekas but they kept those peekas tied up in one spot while my xbows and mortars rained down on them. I had killed two of them and took a nice chunk from the others by the time the slow attacking peekas could swing 15 times to kill all 25.

It really depends on what I'm doing. If I'm defending, I want archers (or of couRse dragons), but if I'm attacking I want some barbs or goblins.
where are the combos?
Dragons for offense. Archers or mages on defense(now that they have splash).
But the worst on both sides are balloons, sadly...unless you're defending and your opponent has no troops that target air troops:o
For defense I've recently become a wizard convert. They're pretty amazing against packs of T1 troops, 2 wizards in my CC killed about 40 barbarians a couple nights ago. I still use archers mostly though, since wizards are a hassle to train and hardly anyone has them upgraded nearly as much as their archers.
For offense I like archers or dragons.
I've really come to love a dragon in the CC, they can repel just about any style attack if you keep your CC central.
Wizards are great in the clan castle because, like the archers, they shoot over walls, but as a bonus wizards now do splash damage and are able to take out a lot of infantry at a time.
