Hi there, welcome to the forums.
I do like this idea: however, it is suggested a lot. Use the search feature before posting an idea: it helps a lot!
I personally do not think this is needed, I play on an iPod (so we can agree that my screen is small) and at first, I did move buildings around without meaning to, but I got used to it pretty quickly and you will too.
