Hi Supercell,
Please consider penalizing war list members who leave the clan either during the preparation day or either during the battle day.
The penalty should be 50% of resources + 50% trophies + 7d cool down period.
It's is hard enough to recruit as is but no clan should have to endure such poor behavior whereby people choose to drop out during a critical time.

That is ridiculous. Either don't start wars with new members or deal with it. With your idea, trolls could just create clans, start a war, and then abuse players so much that they'd choose to leave even with the ridiculous penalty.

I don't believe in just dealing with it, but I do believe that we should be open minded solutions even if they are not ideal.

Why don't you instead manage your clan better? For example, create an application process as well as a "war list" of known good members. Kick out anyone not on the list before the war starts.

The idea of penalizing those that leave while at war sounds good, but what about those kicked? That could be abused.
SC could make the penalty for only those that leave and not if your kicked...

I don't necessarily agree with this, because you already have a war ban, why make it worse?
Hogwash. My clan family opted for a war clan. We meet there, start the war, attack, and return to our main clans.
Some go home right after the war starts, and come back on battle day. We did this to prevent having inactives during war, and to make sure that our main clans don't die on the vine while our best warriors are away.
Also, since we only let known people into the war clan, there is no possibility of a spy getting in, solving another problem that we've had in previous wars.
Using this system, we complete 100% of our attacks, which is something I have yet to see any other clan accomplish.
Farming right now? Heroes or spells down for upgrade? Don't go to war. The clan doesn't suffer as a result.
We found a way to make it work. There is no reason to penalize us for our ingenuity.
