Th8 attempting to farm...getting destroyed

Hey guys I am a pretty active clasher and I am currently farming to max my defenses/walls. But every time I get close to my target # of gold or elixer I am getting hit hard for 250k+ on both. I currently use Barch with some gobs or sometimes giants with gobs for quick loot. I have all lvl 5 tier 1 troops and I feel I have a decent base. I am looking for some advice to help out a fellow clasher, I am also struggling to get and keep DE. Any advice on army comp or who to hit for DE

i stay within gold 3 and gold 2.

Again I feel I'm very active so not sure what I am doing wrong. Here's my current base. You can also look me up.

I would say level up your walls.
Mostly intimidation, but level 7 does help a tiny bit. I'm getting all mine to 8.

EDIT: and if you are farming, I would suggest removing your town hall from your base.
1. Free shield 70% of the time
2. More room to protect storages

Put your town hall outside and make a decent farming base. You should also drop to silver 2, there are a lot of inactives down there and you get sniped a lot. Also, there are not any town hall 9's down there who can 3 star you.

Clan castle to center of base and town hall outside..hopefully you will get a free shield and when someone does attack, the cc in the middle will help defend.

Ur th is supposed to be on the out side for a farming base so u get th sniped by pple looking for easy trophies n then they leave n not get ur loot

higher walls won't do anything.

best advice: do not carry a significant amount of gold (1mil+). If you are close to an upgrade, raid in sessions until you reach that upgrade cost. then sign off once the gold is gone.

Most TH 9 farmers attacks Th 8 players for easy resources. Here are few things you can do to save your loot-

Use a farming layout.
Upgrade your walls.
Fill your CC with valks and wizards (level 5+) to destroy level 6 giants.
Play in sessions (minimum 2 hrs each)

I have to disagree. Higher walls have an intimidation factor. Would you rather attack a th8 with level 6 walls? Or level 8 walls?
Also, level 6 wallbreakers(th9) one hit level 6 walls(I believe?)
So they do help, a bit

Silver two is to low not enough loot there..ur always gonna get beaten sooner or later..best trophies range for th8 farming is between gold one and 3
