Just use barch on everything, you'll get more than enough elixir for your upgrades. Oh, and attack a lot.
just raid. For elixir try around 2100-2200 cups as there are lots of th9s handing out free elixir (like me)
Another way to get elixir quickly if you are willing to do it is do hog raids with a healer rather than heal spells. I was able to farm my lvl 6 archers and giants pretty quickly that way.
Just Barch.. I hit TH9 a couple months ago and now I'm overflowing with elixir. My storages are completely full 95% of the time now. Farming around 1700-2100 is pretty good.
Everyone said it, but if you use BARCH, your elixer will fill up by itself.
