what's the point of archer lvl6 ?

Thanks a lot. I forgot to have a look at the wizard tower. Apart from shooting against lvl 5 archers, it is another solid point that lvl 6 wizard tower has to two-shot lvl 6 archers, but can one-shot lvl 5 archers. I think I will go ahead and upgrade archers asap.

Honestly the upgrade is more for the pride rather than practical benefits.

It is very to make your friend-in-need achievement (if you have not yet done so) though. For some reasons there are people who deliberately ask for Lvl 6 Archers.

Everything that needs to be said pretty much already has.

Bottom line is people see it as a minimal increase for the time/cost. That's not to say however, to not upgrade them. They are very much worth getting, but prioritizing them first thing at TH9 imho is sort of a mistake. Especially when you have something like Giants and loons that get such a huge increase over their lvl 5 counterparts.

They also are much more cost friendly on a new TH9 (6m as opposed to 7.5m which also pretty much requires you to have max storages).

There are others that say just get the most expensive thing out of the way. True, but as a later TH9 you will be overflowing with elix regardless so it's not really an issue as to getting them...it's more of when you want to get them.

Either way, to each their own...but giants should almost always be first (as pretty much everyone uses them). Barbs are also very affordable for early TH9's and a core farming group as well (Barch, BAM, etc). Both of those I'd do first personally over Arch.

As a new th9, my new level 6 archers are a huge difference. No reason NOT to upgrade them IMO. So statistical wise it may not seem worth it but it is. The level 5 mortar difference was all the world to me.

There's no reason to argue against lv6 archers since they are upgraded from lv5. The question is upgrade priority - when to upgrade lv6 archers? First thing TH9 or after barb, giant, or balloons?

IMO it's probably not worth it upgrading archers first as elixier storages needs to be maxed for lv6 archer upgrade. And elixier storages are way less important than Both DE drills and DE storage.

That said, it's best to upgrade giant barb and balloon while maxing DE storage and elixier storage. Then go for archers so the overall upgrade timing and priority will stay reasonable.

Baloons.
Baloonion as a TH9 is amazing, keep.looking for Collector loots, or TH8s 200k each storage raid.
Baloonion with spells can 3 star 99% of the Maxed town hall 8s

You mean two solid points. THat +2 dps gets really big when you have 100 archers running around.

If you don't want to upgrade them, it's your loss. :o

Being the leader of a clan, i think Ill upgrade archers first when I hit TH9 (maybe a month from now) so that I can donate my clanmates some sweet troops. They'll love it :)
