Guys, forget archers level 6, what is the freakin point in level 6 wizards other than looking epic? The upgrade literally adds 3% of its level 5 stats.
The one big difference with level 6 archers is when deployed in the clan castle. A level 6 archer can take 3 hits from a level 5 archer.
Its good to have them as clan castle troops against other troops. Plus a big reason is that MANY more clans with accept you since their rules say like "lvl 6 archers to join" or something like that. I dont think there are other reasons
All the arguments against lvl 6 archers are ridiculous. The fact is that when you upgrade them they get more HP and more DPS so therefore you should upgrade them.
The question isn't if they are worth it or not, the question is WHEN to upgrade them. I was a die hard BAM user so I upgraded my barbs and then archers second and I loved it! When you have 60 or 70 archers in a farming army that is a lot of extra DPS. But if you prefer giant based or want to go with miniball then prioritize other troops first.
Getting elixer at th9 is a joke, you should be overflowing with it, so just upgrade the archers. You won't be sorry.
2 damage does make a different when your at 49%. It could saves you:D
I also thought to myself why upgrade to level 6 archers for 7.5 mil if I only gain 4hp and 2 dps? Then I thought of a few reasons why.
I farm exclusively with Barch, usually about 122 barbs and 98 archers (just queue up barracks two full with barbs and 2 full of archers), so an extra 2 dps and 4 hp = 196 dps to my raid and 392 hp, doesn't seem like a lot, but when going up against clan castle troops with level 5 archers, my archers can 2 shot theirs, while theirs takes 3 shots to kill mine.
Also, level 5 of lower mortars requires 2 shots to kill level 6 archers, and level 6 or lower wizard towers also requires 2 shots to kill level 6 archers.
The third reason I chose archers to be my second level 6 troop (giants were first), was because it was the most elixir purchase I need at TH9, so why not get it out of the way now?
I say do it, you won't regret it. Yes, it does take 2 weeks to complete, but that gives plenty of time to farm up the 6 million elixir, or however much you need for your next troop upgrade.
The difference that i see is i use less archers with lvl6 compare to lvl5 when i barching. Normally i can save some archers. Im very glad that ive pass the 2weeks upgrade. Real pain
