This may be the first boat event where I don't bother to get the personal goal. I think it was a bad idea to put it immediately after the truck event. I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I am tapped out. I figured on taking it easy the next few days and rebuilding my stock. I don't have anything left over for boats unless they ask for very simple items, which they rarely do.
Apparently they haven't had time for innovations. Always the same old events, but this time, it lasts for a week , maybe they fear that if it were a 3-day event, it would be another failed event too.
I too was surprised to see another event within minutes of one ending, and not real happy that it was a boat event. But it is a week long and if i recall correctly, the goal is less than it was for the event that was normal length.
Then i remembered that I saw a FB post that mentioned some sweet and aMOOzing things to come! So I'm going to look at the glass half full, that this is something to keep us busy, while they are getting ready to give us something new.
One other thing that I have done several times, is to change, either my goals or my attitude with respect to the game. Right now, in the town, i send away any townie that wants to visit 3 places, and if they want more than 1 sugar, or fish product. OK, a few of them get what they want. These are not peeps that are going to get upset at me for saying NO! Find your own challenge within the game, ignore what you need to in order to have fun and not stressed.
One other thing to remember is that summer is winding down in Finland, and the SC team there is probably rejuvenated after a long holiday, and ready to change things up a bit! :)

Getting back on topic, my apathy isn't for events, it's for BOAT events. And for me it's the combination of less than desirable prizes and those greedy townies. Townies are asking for too many premium items (one townie today asked for fish soup, fish sushi, and feta salad..hungry much?) and it's affecting my ability to fill boat orders. I've sent away all townies wanting three buildings and those that want spa AND beach cafe, but it will take me a long time to build my stock back up. So will I exhaust my machines trying to fill boat after boat asking for fish soup and feta salad (my 1st boat today), cheese (2nd boat), cheesecake and latte (3rd boat) to get tnts and the chance of 5 diamonds? I think not.
Or they ARE listening to us...isn't the boat global event lower than last time? I can't remember what it was, but it seems like it's lower to me, AND they've given us a whole week to complete it.
I may not be that excited about boat events lately, but at least this one seems like it is doable. Unlike the last one, I've actually had some fillable boats this round. The toughest so far is the boat coming in about 4 hours...tomatoes, sushi, and cotton fabric. My last boat was carrots, sugarcane and salad.
I did see a whole lot of butter flagged from my neighbors, so I suspect I'll get a butter boat this evening or tomorrow, lol, which will get sent away, but in a week's time, it at least SEEMS like I would be able to fill 12 boats.
I wondered where you've gone! We're HD neighbors and you have a fantastic farm which I keep checking every week or so, but it's soooo quiet. Or at least it was until the last time I checked. I think I saw something in your store maybe yesterday? Nice to see you here!Quote:
