apathy for events?

And since this is kinda unrelated, i ll write this in a new reply.

I dont know whether there is a forum/game groups for game center. But for me, the ppl on forum is just a small minority. Many ppl on forum are GC I guess? But for android users, you should really try to look for the trade groups on FB. Many of them have 10k+ members, and its easier to trade for food and tools.

besides, I dont know how you browse your newspaper. but there is a way to refresh your news. top-left corner, setting, change language to a random one, then your farm will reload. then your news will refresh. I dont have to refresh news for the 150 tomatoes in an hour or two, if i did so, I could maybe get way more than that.

Feel sick all you like, as far as I am concerned two boats in a row asking for 8 jam, followed by a boat asking for cocoa pods and chocolate ice cream followed by a boat asking for cocoa pods and hot chocolate followed by a boat asking for chocolate cake and lemon cake is beyond the pale. The boats i have had since the boat have asked for 3 or four items of easily made or bought items. And that is fact, not an hypothesis. Please stop being so insulting.

And sadly, you divert the focus again. I never say whether her boat is easy/hard to complete. But with 100+ boats daily and 737 boats data, the frequency of each item being asked can be collected. So that gives my data of 18-19 average, with the 7 sushi roll/31 roasted data.

Barn size might matter, but for me, I only keep 2-4 crates worth of each product. And what I keep in my barn as excess? 200+ breads, 200+ popcorns, 50+ basic pies, etc. Thats what I like to fill. And that partly explains my 150+ crates filled daily. And thats also what I called as buying xp.

For me, it should be all of you stop hypothesizing/insulting the SC team for making the boat harder than before. They have created such a wonderful game, and I dont think they deserve what all of you have hypothesized.

As for your boats, its just 5 boats. Its a fact, but its not impossible. And if jam is accompanied with easy items, its more like 2 jams per boat for me. Your barn is there for a reason, and I dont suppose you dont stock any of those items.

And what are the pods? you mean the cacaos fruits? Come on, you are level 85 according to the signature, and I suppose you have grown a lot of each tree in your farm? Thats more like common sense i d say. Since when is cacao fruit is hard?

You have been playing for 6 months and your barn and silo are both 4700. No wonder you don't have trouble filling boats. Most of us work and trade hard to upgrade our barns and silos, but I, for one, don't have half the capacity of yours. Maintaining 200 popcorn would be economic suicide for me,and those in my Neighbourhood at least. How dare you accuse us of insulting SC? We have done nothing of the sort! We were engaging in a civilised discussion about our impressions of how the game has changed over the past year, particularly the last couple of months, until you came along. We are obviously not playing the same game. Let's just leave it at that, as you are becoming very nasty.

And yet many of the players who have posted do not do 100+ plus boats daily, so you can see where the data you present is irrelevant for them.

The average range of items requested for 100+ boats on a daily basis is not the same for 4 or 5 boats daily. Now if all these players who are voicing their concern were to make note of their daily boat output over the month or so it would take them to equal the same number your friend does daily, then perhaps all would see just how correct your data is, & the grousing might subside, but I think it's a long shot.

And for those who do not have mega barns, huge quantities of diamonds, or access to a trading pool of tens of thousands from which to replenish expended items as rapidly as they are used, when consecutive boats with duplicate items keep arriving over a short period of time, the inroads in stock is distinctly noticeable, no matter what the numbers may say from those who enjoy the benefits of access to near limitless quantities of goods by whatever means.

As for # 10, why should I disagree with that? I've said as much myself. Repeated green vouchers as a reward aren't reflective of the time invested & value of an order for jam, cheesecakes, & hot cocoa, or much of an added incentive to fill that order considering the value those items would command in the RSS. The XP for such is a wash out, at least for me, as I can get XP all day long harvesting & producing.

You know what I love about the game. There are so many ways in which to make money and xp points. The boat, the RSS, the trucks, the visitors, in town, to neighbours who are close in the cubby or who are more distant in the DD.

Personally, I pick and choose as the fancy, the market, the event takes me.

Where ever I get the best price or highest XP points, when ever I have the stock in supply. If I don't have enough stock I may flag a crate, search the DD, ask a friend in the cubby, or just send the boat, visitor, truck order away with the swip of my finger. No harm, no foul. If I don't like the price I have no qualms in rejecting the order. There is no pressure beyond what I put on myself. I row with the flow.

The farm is where I go to to de-stress, to hang out with my gang, to exercise my brain. There is much to love about HayDay.

This thread seems to have gone off topic. Let's get back to discussing whether we are bored with events or not.:)

Such a healthy outlook, Jude!

You're right on so many levels. There are numerous wonderful enjoyments in HD, the best being my cubby mates!:D

I think you hit close to the heart of things when you said 'no pressure beyond what I put on myself."

I didn't feel pressured to maintain a certain level of play progress before the town was introduced, yet am I wrong to wish to maintain that same feel good sense afterwards? Is it because my expectations need to be lowered to accommodate the change in what used to be?

I don't know, but somehow cutting back to keep up doesn't jibe with my personal philosophy, even though it is something I've had to do. I just don't care for the fact that where I was once able to do boats, trucks, visitors, & events, & all the while thrilled to the challenge of maintaining that delicate balance, has now been usurped by decisions over which ones should I ignore today. I haven't filled a single truck this event, which as you know, is very unlike me! The reason I haven't is, like Glade, I need the stock more elsewhere, despite the incentive of extra cash. Had this been a global event, I likely would have made the same decision, which goes back to the OP question of apathy. It isn't a case of not wanting or caring to, but more one of not being able unless I put something else on hold. At least in this case, the only one not getting rewards because of non-participation is me, rather than the global community.

I'm not asking for SC to make things either easier or harder, nor do I consider voicing my experience as an insult to the developers as implied elsewhere. I & others who seem to share the same perceptions are merely calling attention to a matter, be it real or non-sense, with the hope that SC might investigate & perhaps provide an explanation or turn an eye toward correcting or restoring whatever it is that gave many of this threads posters that same sense of non-pressure as before.
