I have a good job and get paid well. I spend some of that buying gems. So what? Some people have the time and patience to farm in gold 16h a day, some don't but have the means to save some time. I don't see the issue.
I've played for about a year and a half and I still have fun. I don't see a reason why I have to kill myself farming and lose the joy in the game. I'm a mid th9 with a 300mil GG, so I can farm, I can get stars and I don't have a premie base. I see nothing wrong with that. I don't even see it inferior to the guy who farmed without a boost day in, day. Different strokes

Gemming is certainly part of this game. Only part that "annoys" me is when someone who is a noob claims they never gemmed but have level 20 heroes and barely any DE grab. Clearly doesn't fool us that have been playing for well over a year, shoot probably two. I buy gems each month to boost barracks, and occasionally finish a hero before a war if I think I'll need him/her. I could not care if someone Gems though. Up to the individual person.
