A lot of people eschew gemmers bc they feel that they are spoiled rich kids who don't have the patience to learn and just want the best base no matter the cost. The truth is that there are many types of gemmers (the aforementioned included), but one thing that cannot be denied is that they are the lifeblood of games like this, providing the necessary income to keep a game going, and giving developers/company a reason to keep pushing updates, keep adding capacity, and just plain keeping the game going.
Anyone who thinks that gemmers ruin the game should thank their lucky stars that there are zero ads, that the game is free to download, free to play, and is a high quality game.
Some think that its foolish to spend money on a "kids game" or bc "it' free so why pay". I can guarantee you it's not kids who have kept the game #1 on iTunes for so long and many of these same people would gladly pay $50-$60 for a video game that they get far fewer hours out of.
So thank your fellow gemmers and know that their contributions to a capitalistic society are welcomed.
I gemmed (a whole $5) and don't regret it one bit.
