I just finished getting to mid-crystal 2 using loonian. I only have level 5 loons and level 3 minions but had I been able to stay on more and not lose every defense I think I could have easily made it to master using loonian. Routinely getting 2 stars on th 9 in crystal 2
can i use it for farming also.:confused:
Balloonion, GoWiWi, GoWiPe, mass Drags etc etc are for trophy pushing (wallbreaker, heal and rage to help your troops)
Barch/BAM is for farming (dont forget to bring lightning spell for DE storage)

First, I've only used loonian while trophy pushing because it does cost some of both elixir and dark elixir and the training time, in my view, is outrageous for farming.
However, when I do it, I use 24 level 5 balloons, 40 minions and 3 rage spells.
My minions suck at level 1 because I put all my dark elixir toward my barb king.
Deploy your balloons in a U shape dropping a rage on each side of the U. Then follow up with minions behind the loons.
Drop your third rage on the balloons closest to taking out the last Air Defense.
Again, to answer your question, I don't think this strategy is cost effective at all, but it does work.

preferably bases with enough loot to offset the cost and Air Defense that is not centralized and below level 5 with your current troop levels.

I've had success with both. It also kinda depends on what troop levels your clan has. Once AD is gone, any level dragon will tear it up.
