Troops stop trying to break wall after the building has been destroyed

Lets give an example.

Currently, if a group of lets say giants are trying to break down a wall to destroy lets say an archer tower, and the archers behind the giants take out the archer tower before the giants break through, the giants continue to break through the wall just to turn around and go for another defense.

Why do they continue to try and break the wall when they can clearly see the defense has been destroyed?

Wouldnt it it just be great if they stopped and moved on to the next defense?

This is just an example. All troops do it. If a group of barbs try and get through a wall and wizards take the building behind the wall out the barbs continue to break through the wall.

Just a late night idea. Sorry if this has already been posted. My lazy butt didn't do a search.

And what if the wall behind that wall has no building behind it? Then they just turn around and go for another wall...
