An end to the clan hopping/kicking

I joined a smaller clan this week to help out, all week long all I saw was people joining taking troops and leaving. Then today a guy claiming to be from the small clans "main high trophy clan" joined the small clan. He acts nice and tries to get elder . Once he does he kickers ever member you have. I think something should be done to protect against these types of players, and I think a wait long wait period could be installed like 5 hr's or more from the time you leave a clan till the time you can join a new clan. I think something like this will really help cut back on these problems and make the ggame more enjoyable for many players. Thanks for your time hope to see something done.

Make every one Elder in the clan.
An Elder can not kick another Elder.
An Elder mean absolute nothing.
You make every one Elder and you have end of the discussion and the asking when and how can I be Elder.
And once again only the Leader decides who will stay and who will go.

I don't agree with clan hopping tbh and juggling people around to win the weekly tournament isn't really fair IMO either, a week cool down should be applied when you leave a clan, that would stop the juggling of people and cut down on these random people joining then kicking everyone rinse repeat.

Many clans have 2nd clans and a lot more for others I know a Clan that have 11 sub clans!
this would mean no clan switching for say example your farming so you go to your farming clan, or are the requirements to move up to the higher clan, by putting a week break before joining another clan, would make expanding clans pointless, also the amount of visiter players who pop in to other clans to say hi, for example the forum players, have had people join and help promote my clan and then go back home.

what you need is to have a much better way of choosing elders, make sure they are active on the forum, for extra communication, make sure players are contributing to the clan before even thinking of upping them to elders, make it a hard role to get to, and make them work for it!

Thx for the other tips everyone. I have thought about making everyone elder in the clan, but then you get those annoying kids who just cause problems and now your stuck with them untill the Leader comes back on. I was more leaning towards the low trophy clans when I made this thread, where most of the clan are yonger players and lower in lvl where the young elder in the clan doesn't realize that the lvl 92 is lying and only trying to kick the clan. These lower clans are really common to see the clan hopping/kicking happen. I have read all your posts and I still think some form of wait period is best, or only allow a player to join 2 clans a day. Anything to help cut back on this hopping/kicking.

I sugguested this earlier in another thread regarding this topic:

What if instead of elders having ability to kick someone, they can only 'quarantine' (maybe with a drop down box to choose reason, such as abusive language)? The quarantined member cannot post comments or request troops (I assume that's the main reasons why someone would be legitimately booted from clan). The clan leader will have ability to kick the quarantined member or bring them out of quarantine. Of course the member in quarantine can still choose to leave on their own if they don't feel like waiting around for leader to respond. This way the elders still have some power to manage clan but cannot ruin a whole clan by kicking everyone.

The clan I'm a member of has 5 sub clans but I think a 1 week cool down would still be a good idea for the reasons I already pointed out. What is needed is cross clan chat, alliance chat etc.

I have yet to experience this type of thing in my clan. We do have rules for obtaining elder status (which is totally useless and is asked for a lot less now thankgod hahaha) But out "elders" know that they are not to promote anyone unless the "vets" or leader agrees to it. People that have joined and requested elder end up leaving within 5 minutes due to our "horrible, dumb, unrealistc" rules. haha as a couple have said in the past.

Who would have thought that meating a few simple rules like. Donate 500 a week, stay in clan for a minimum of two weeks, and dont troll the chat would be hard?

But we have had a lot less joiners requesting elder right off the bat. which is nice........it gets tiring saying no and explaining why, only to have them leave right after.

My solution would be to only have trustworthy people as elders. The elders is my clan have gone up a bit, but the majority have been in the clan for many months. They are very trusty worthy and have yet to mess up on accidently promoting someone.

I agree with you kevster and my main clan I have similars rules in place and it's successful for us. But this problem still exists or you wouldn't have those rules set in place to try and prevent it. I am the leader to our main clan, and this week I left a trusted player in charge and I went to a sub clan to help them. Some high lvl saw me recruiting in chat for this subclan and he joined saying he was from main clan. He was friendly and made small talk even donated for afew mins. Now in our small talk I was asking him questions like how long he was a member of the main clan. Because I was onto him, I know every member in my main clan and he wasn't one of them. I caught him and kicked him no harm done. Now had I not been in this subclan or online when he joined this could have very well have tricked one of the elders of the subclan who doesn't know our members in the main clan. Also to make a comment about another post above about a week long wait period. I like your thinking and were kind of on the same page but addressing two different problems. A week long wait period will cause more problems then it fixes. Trolls will just make clans and kick anyone who joined, and now they have to wait a week again before they can "try" to find a good clan. But I'm in agreement with you also, something should be done about the tournament problem

I'd seriously like to see Supercell add more ranks. This would be alot better then a cool down. You could easily manage a clan with a given ranking system

Not all this thread is useful and not all the ranks have the best descriptions but it's laid out well. Any Leader could set a pretty solid leadership with this.
