How To Use Gems

After searching through every thread that had the word gem in it for half an hour with no useful tips, I decided that this topic hasn't been talked about for long enough so I could make a new thread about it.

And, of course, it's been talked about before, but I can't find the answer I'm looking for.

Level 50, TH7, 3 builders, 434 gems.

I want to use my gems. I'm perfectly fine with having 3 builders, I'll get the 4th if I ever pay money for the game. What do I use my gems on, to be as strategic as possible? Should I wait until TH9 to gem troops?

First, I encourage you to get builders. But if you are totally against it then speed up barracks and mortar / wiz tower upgrades.

BUILDERS!

if not, do barrack boosting or speed up barrack construction.

My only problem is that, I don't plan on quitting this game until I'm to my limits. So, why spend gems on the Builders when I'll be playing this game long enough to max out (nearly(or not nearly)) everything with just my 3 builders? Are they really that time-saving?

They are the most time saving thing in the game.

Another question, then. Is it possible to get all 5 from earning achievements combined with removing obstacles?

I think 4 is possible.

by the time ure maxxed out th10 ull get 2.500gems acording to wiki.. But after 481days spent maxin out everythin with two builders u wont need em

if this is a game you enjoy playing and want to continue to play then i would spend 20$ and get 2500 gems.. think about it this way.. you go to the movies and spend 20$ for a movie and popcorn for 2 hours.. if u spend 20$ and the game entertains you for atleast 2 hours it was worth it.

Not to mention getting the extra 2 builders faster would speed up everything you are doing.. I was the same as you really. I was stuck with 3 builders.. but having 5 you are doing things 70% faster.. its worth it.. then you only have to save gems for walls or whatever..

If you save all your gems, you should be able to get the fourth at around level seventy (that's what I did, anyway).

The fifth one will take a while. Probably not until th10.
