Remember to use 3 Rage spells, dragon blends in really well with it! Good Luck !
I've been lvl 7 for a week and a half so idk how much insight/advice I'll have. But upgrade your army camps because dragons take up 20 housing space which is a decent amount.
For raids, I use 8 wall breakers and split up barbs/archers (both level 4)
With regards to Clan Wars, I've only used a dragon once (combined with archers), which was to kill a clan castle dragon. I still primarily use 20-23 lvl 4 balloons. I might use more dragons once I upgrade them to lvl 2 or build up more barracks.
For CW use 3 rage spells and try to get 50% and the th. Drop all of them on one spot, where the air defense is weak.
For farming use BARCH (1600-2000)
Use 8 dragons and 20 archers, and another dragon in your clan castle. 3 rages
1st use the archers to clear any out lying buildings that might cause your dragons to go to the side.
2nd drop your dragons in a line.
3rd use 2 rage spells to get your dragons to destroy the buildings and fly faster to the townhall
Lastly drop the last rage when the dragons start attacking the townhall

I got my dragons last week. Still on level 1, i used 9 dragons+ 1 dragon in cc with 20 archers to kill cc troops. It was amazing to see how easily dragons cleaned everything. I think I had 4 dragons alive after the attack. I brought in 2 rage spells and 1 heal spell. However while watching replay, my leader suggested i bring all 3 rage spells when doing a mass dragon attack.
One fun fact I learned, say their CC is on the left side of their TH, then placing your drags on the right side of their base will pull your drags to the center quicker once their CC troops pop out. Effectively using their troops to bait your drags toward their TH for an easier 2 star and increases your chances for that 3rd ★. Hope that helps.
I'm still trying to perfect my dragon attack strategy and I'm going to try using the twenty archers. Previously I'd use my BK and AQ to thin out the exterior bldgs. But forfeiting 1 drag for 20 archers sounds like a fair trade with good returns.

If your are hitting TH7s, I would bring along 3 lightning spells instead to take out one of the air defenses, and enter the dragons from wherever is closer to the remaining air defense.
It's lightning for th7 attacks.. Lightning one air defense and then drop your drags close as possible to the remaining one.. Drop drags in a line or an L.. Dropping drags in one spot is bad because they pause, so you want the fewest pauses..
th8 target is 3 rage.. The idea is to take out as many buildings with one rage.. Do not try to make a path to air defense, instead just use rage on as many buildings as possible, with as many dragons.
Yes TH7 is 3 lightnings all the way and the 'L' deployment. Really doesn't matter at TH7, because a 3 star is pretty much guaranteed. But at TH8, with rage, I find it better to deploy all in one spot so you can rage them all at once.Quote:

Second...decide if you plan on using the dragon as main attack weapon or as a compliment to your main army. Level 1 dragons ate easy kill with any high level AD, Wiz Tower, or Archer Tower. Until you can boost that puppy to Level 2, I'd advise using it as complimenting your army. Max your bases and you add one dragon and keep your main troops as is.
Use it behind your first wall of giants. Once they break through and battling the main lines of defense and taken out one AD site, send it in, once it starts doing some damage, hit it with a rage spell. Time it right, you'll be including the giants or the second attack wave inside the rage.
Use a Level One dragon as main attack? Good luck. Better yet, send them against my base...I'll take your trophies and it wouldn't cost me much. ( those that are giving you advice on dragon attacks are either forgetting its Level 1 or are dweebs....probably both.
If your goal is loot, dragons take too long to build and cost too much. Stick with a cheaper army.Quote:
